Yes I m checked that my dipploma came under the section A. Plz tell me what I do now!

That's very good news! is your diploma: Machining Techniques (DVS - 1,800 hours / 2 years)?

Ok then you will get 16 points for you AOT and be in priority processing list
10 points for your years of study
more than 4 years experience: 8 points (if the experience is in the same field)
16 point for Age
French:??
English??
Relatives in Quebec:??
Finance: 1 point

So your total without french nor english is: 51

the minimum required is 42! so you are way above the requested points... however it is a must to submit language test certificate if you want to claim any points for that..

refer to this link and do the calculation yourself: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/divers/Grille-synthese.pdf

Hi Folks
I would like to know if I can send in my application for FSWP now as the new rules will kick-in from Jan 1 2013 per Cohen but not per CIC. I had sent my application and it was returned saying that I do nto qualify as I do not have arranged employment or Ph. D enrollement.

The Education Evaluation agencies are not yet declared by CIC. Please let me know if it is wise to wait till they ask to submit or is it good to send now and let it get queued?

Thanks all...you are pretty helpful with your participation in the forums.

Could any expert share experience with me please?
What would be the possible delay caused by missing information in the background/declaration form.
(Visa Office: Ottawa, Category: Quebec Skilled Worker]
(I sent the missing information, the day after I got a email from CIC.)

I would highly appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Okay, now I've got some confusions regarding the verification of submitted papers of my academic and job experience. Since we don't have any Canadian High Commission in our country at the moment and VFS deals with the Canadian visa related stuff; hence what would be the mode of the verification? I mean would the query be in person by some third-party organizations (like VFS) or would that be an electronic query like email or over telephone to the authorized personnel? I assume that my academic background can easily be checked through online since I have my bachelors done from one of the universities in Australia as well as my MBA is from one of the UK universities. But still, I would like to know the procedures.

Therefore, anyone... please?

By the way, My country is Bangladesh and my visa office is Hong Kong.

I think even if you do administrative review nothing will change and it is my opinion, but you can give it a try.

All the best

if u applied wt is the time duration for this review process.

Hello,

it takes 5 to 6 months, to get a reply from the administrative review, those who applied in May-June
got the results in Nov-Dec with letters written Sept-Nov. meanwhile they will send you an acknowledgement of receipt (after a month of reception, the AOR is written and u got it after a month according to the post delay).

Hope this help (Hong Kong guys) and Good luck!

Hello Everyone

Please advice if I am in a position to apply for qsw now

I have done my master's from UK in finance and investment management. Duration of programme was 1 year.

I would like to know how many points I could score in area of training as I have checked finance and investment management is not there on the list? and for my education how many points i would score because in quebec the duration of masters is 2 years.

Below is my profile

Age = 27
Maritul status = single
Education = MBA in Finance and Investment Management (1 year) from UK
Area of Training = Finance and Investment Management
Experience= 3 years 6 months work experience as a senior merchandiser in the field of textiles.
French = A1 for listening and 0 for speaking ( I think I will score only 1 point for this)
English = 7.0 for listening and 7.5 for speaking

thanks
anaz

Hi all, I have two questions:

1. I resent my application in mid November this year. according to courier service officer my application has arrived at BIQ HK by 16 November 2012. and now i'm waiting for AOR. on the other hand, my IELTS (sent with application) will be expired by 15 January 2013. so would it be a problem?

2. If my AOT is not in priority list, how long does it usually take between AOR and interview?

thanks
