Hi Darshmodi,

The way they allocate points based on language proficiency hasn't changed. So even if you applied in 2011, you would still get the same points as you would get if you applied in 2012.

Hi Shahzaib

your area of training = 6 points
Education years = 10 points
experience = 8 points
english = 4 points
age???
French is very important... you get up to 16 points for french... you can't get the minimum points required unless you learned and sat for french exam...

You can calculate your points here: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/divers/Grille-synthese.pdf

Good luck...

My University is very far from where I live present.
So can I notarized my educational documents?

After medical, waiting for Passport Request from Ottawa is long and tedious. I, and probably most peole in the same boat, find it uneasy to wait for PPR not knowing what is going on with background-check for several months.

If any experts see this email, would you please update me with current average waiting time between "Med Received" and "Passport Request." (for Ottawa Visa Office) Please refer to my profile information and timeline.

Many thanks!
