Router said:Hello all, Bonjour à tous,
I have never thought before, of going to Québec, but since chances are low that the federal stream is taking too long and there are still uncertainties, and I have improved my French in the last 2 years, now I ask myself if there would be a future for me in Québec (I hope there is).
So these are my recent TEF results:
Comprehension ecrite 239 (C1)
Comprehension orale 270 (B2)
Expression ecrite 270 (B1)
Expression orale 314 (B2)
English is my second language after my mother tongue, and I have been using it for almost 20 years in college and in professional life. Comparing it to my French, I know I have a long way ahead of me.
I am an engineer but I won't be looking for a job in my field necessarily. To me, it is about embracing new opportunities in a new environment, so I believe I could fill a post where being registrated as a professional is not compulsory.
What are your thoughts on a prospective immigrant like me? Should I be positive about Québec or not?
Thank you for your insights,
Merci par avance,
Router
Your profile looks pretty good and your French level is above average, I think your chances will depend on whether your occupation is on this list:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/diverses/list-training.pdf
If your Area Of Training is not listed on that list, you are not able to apply until further notice.
