that's right, over 65,000 people applied for Quebec immigration in 2011. People are so crazy, they just wanted to go to Quebec without knowing proper french. In other words, people take this route as a back door to enter another province of Canada.

Do you know how to check the number of applications for group 2 until now? I plan to submit my application by the end of Feb 2013. I am afraid that the limited number may be over.

A maximum number of 14,300 applications will be accepted between 21 March 2012 and 31 March 2013 in this category.

Alexander,

No, it's meant for people who have names in languages that use a different alphabet (e.g. arabic, chinese, japanese, ...). That's why it says If your language does not use the Latin alphabet.

@greg_peq thanks i think your explanation looks more like it. thanks alot

Now you can't check the number of applications received for group 2. They were continuously updating till 28th June,2012, But after this date, they removed the "number of applications received for group 2" column from official website page. I don't know whether the cap is applicable now for group 2 or not because nothing is mentioned in the website.

The number of applications received till 28th june,2012 were 676.

Stumbled upon this.

Mr. Maruf,
You may know the total point for english is 6 for Quebec Skill immigration. So if you pointed as 7.5 in each categories it will be 6 for QSW point table(Approx. and Max).

Well, it has been very fine, I'm currently back in my home country after about 6 weeks stay there, to return back finally at the end of the year. I didn't do an intensive search for jobs since I wasn't finally staying back but made progress with one of the few applications I put in because I received a call and later had a telephone interview and was asked to notify the IT recruiting company as soon as I return back to Canada and ready to start work. So in my opinion, the prospect is very high for IT jobs and am trusting God for the very best.

Cheers
