I got my CSQ last year in sept, but I did not apply to federal earlier because of some reasons. Regarding federal application, my application was received on 22 june 2012. The credit card was charged on 23 july, received AOR on 26 july 2012, received medical request on 31 july. I am doing PhD in Engineering. I applied for me and my wife.

I am in Montreal.

So are you applying under the PhD stream or the normal QSW??

I'm really confused between registering for Tefaq or DELF A2? Which one has less difficulty level? I'm aiming for an A2 in listening and Speaking. Please advise. I need to register by tomorrow... :-\

I never took TEFAQ but recently had DELF A2 and it seems easy for me.
I just took classes for DELF A1 but not for A2.
Other forum members who took the TEFAQ they can better explain their experience with the exam.
Please let me know if i can help you more on this.

Dear All,
Need to ask a question. I know that this is a Forum for Immigration to Quebec. Still i have one doubt in my mind. The process of Immigration is so slow and not very Transparent then cant we think we immigrating to Australia. Australia is very fast in giving the immigration to IT persons and the process is crystal clear.

Please let me know your reasons for choosing Canada as the destination for your life.

Thanks in advance.

Would you share with all of us the process, I mean how and where should we send our applications?
The process to Canada is not unclear, it's only unfair. every year the Government of Canada has a limit number of Visa.
but sometimes they just go to Europe (for example Ireland in the past months) and take a big number of immigrants, and then the rest have to be shared by all of the World. (This is my research and analysis). So that's why they sometimes have to slow down the selection speed. You also can do your own research and analysis and tell us what you think. but for now I think Europeans are more welcomed to Canada more than else where in the World.

Can anyone tell me how to contact the Mexico BIQ office by email?
I keep sending to this address biq.mexico@mri.gouv.qc.ca. but all I get are auto responses.

I just wanted to find out if they even received my application, because I sent it in from May 3, 2012, and I havent heard anything to date. :(

Is it really fast for me to get medical request? How long it usually takes?

I am not on any priority list in CSQ.

I have one question. I had done medical exam for my wife last nov-dec sometimes for her open work permit application. Is that exam valid now for PR application ? I have heard they are valid for one year. Or I should do medicals for her again as the entire process of PR will take some more time and medicals should be valid for whole process? If they are valid, how to go about it to send those results again? If they have record of all applicants, then why they sent me request for her medical exam again? Do they not have in their records that her results were received last time ?

I am not applying under PhD stream because in that case I will have to give IELTS. I got my CSQ before this IELTS requirement came into effect. So I have applied under QSW class.

I guess the MR you are talking about is that of the Federal process which I believe is treated separately from any other medical exams already done, besides they may required a fresh test for their own record because the previous medical result must have been filed up with a case that has nothing to do with your current Federal process which implies that there will be no way to relate the result.

My take is that you should please conduct a fresh medical exams for your wife so that it doesn't delay your application in any way.

Cheers.

I can tell you that when I was gathering the documents to send my application, I once wrote them to that email to ask some questions and they never answered me :/ I also tried comunicating by phone and it is very hard to get ahold of them, they only answered me the first time I called and after that no luck.

Do you at least know if the package got to its destination? By tracking the delivery.
