Hi Community members,

This is my first post / query though I have been a silent reader for quite a long time now. This community is great thing for people like me who wish to immigrate to Canada. And I really like the inputs provided / experience shared by you all. I got to know a lot about the immigration process, settling period, house hunting, job hunting etc.
Now coming to my query I belong to India. Me, my husband along with our 3 yrs kid are trying for PR.

I am a Human Resources professional (managerial level) with over 6 yrs relevant industry experience. I am working with a IT Company and have done full time MBA – HR. My husband is a Marketing (Marcom, Branding, Advertising) professional at Managerial level with a leading telecom company. He has got more than 6 yrs industry experience and has done MBA-Marketing. Our kid is in a playway right now.

As you all are aware that FSW route is closed till Jan’13, our consultant told us to apply through quebec route as HR is a listed professintario?on there. The only thing required is learning French and appear for DELF exam along with ILETS. I am not very sure about this route as we want to move in a cosmopolitan culture. Not sure if we will get enough opportunities in Quebec..
Also, read some blogs wherein people were discussing separation of quebec from rest of the canada. Also, wanted to check if we move through quebec route then would it be possible to settle in some other province in canada as we have our friends staying in ontario?
The alternate route our consultant is telling in PNP. They will assist my husband in a job search there and once he gets an offer and joins the company we can apply for PR then.
Or should we wait for FSW route to open again.

Please suggest as we feel that this is the right time to make a move so that our kid can start schooling in Canada from the very beginning.

Hi sm9,

Currently you have the above two option. but PNP is less chance. it is very diff to get job without PR. then other route is quebec, need to learn french, but you need to wait for till december. 'cos the examination conducted only twice in a year. so almost you come to FSW open date (will open from jan'2013 - 90% possibilities). so i advised to wait and apply FSW.

for me, i am planning to move to canada, but my job list not available in FSW (IT - software). thats why i am looking quebec...(i believe after few month in quebec, can move to anywhere in canada leagally)

I need your expert opinion on the following issue:

If a person passes DELF A2, and then he appear for TCFaQ but gets lower result suppose A1l. Which result should he attach with his application, considering the fact that the result of TCFaQ is sent directly to the immigration authorities. If he attaches the DELF A2, will the immigration authorities accept it and give 6 points for it. Or they will only consider TCFaQ?

Thanks in advance

FYI, I have master degree (18 years edu) and been working for +10years.

Plan to move to Canada with spouse and 2 kids under 12 years
