Hi everyone,

Are PhD students at Quebec universities, who have already passed two years of their PhDs, eligible to apply for Federal Skill Worker category for foreign PhD students?

I mean is this category applicable for Quebec universities' PhD students, too? In the federal government website, it's been said that you should not have an intention to live in Quebec, but I'm not sure if it applies to me PhD students at Quebec universities or not, because they have to be in Quebec until at least the end of their PhD, say two or three years.

I'd appreciate it if you could help me out... :)

Hello Friendz,

Any new update of Application processing for Indian Applicants. I think they are still processing November, 2010 applicants.
Really disappointing !!

@ hec006,

yes, they have not started processing applications beyond oct-2010. As per recent update about processing times, currenlty there is no selection mission scheduled for India.

Pls see my post below.

Hello friends,
They have updated the page on July 3rd, 2012 for processing times of CSQ applications.
www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/processing-times-table.html

For my country India, BIQ-HK, now it is updated as "currently no selection interview"... Previously, it was showing as October-2010.

Pls check for your biqs too...

So, guys get ready for Interview Season coming very soon.... :) :)

Dear Amisimer,

6 December onward you must have to attach you french result with your application if you want to claim points otherwise there will be no points for you even you pass DELF or other french tests.

I suggest you to pass any of the french test with A1/A2 result and send your application, don't depend on adaptability points because there are some cases they awarded 0 in adaptability during their interview so be on safe side.

Dear Experts,

I am very close to submit my application but i have a question that i could not find an answer for! So far :)

My university degree is: Bachelor of Economics - Major: computer and information systems in economics, administration and accountency. It was part time study, it is issued by public recognized university - open learning program

We had to attend practical and theiory classes two days a week. I have ministry decision that proves thet the total number of weekly classes was more than 25 hours per week. I have transcript of all 4 years and recognized diploma.

1- in which category my degree falls?
2- will they grant me 6 points for area of training
3- will they grant me another 10 points for years of study?

Thx experts!
