Dear All,

Can you please elaborate on this new rule System and sources favoring the same.

Please do not get confused, this is not official. This is just speculative as there were even another unofficial site that showed totally different points scale.

If any changes regarding point system becomes official we will likely see it on canadavisa's quebec worker section, and more officially in the "Guide des Procédures d'Immigration"

Friends, please help.

I have a Bachelors+Masters in Commerce from India

I have a slight confusion in Q.4. of the Application for Selection Certificate:

Are you the holder of one or several of the following diplomas:

1) Quebec diploma 2) Canadian diploma 3) Diploma or training recognized as equivalent by a Quebec regulatory body 4) Foreign diploma covered by a Mutual Recognition Agreement (ARM)

Is it No.3 or No.4? Please suggest. Thanks!

In your case its 3) Diploma or training recognized as equivalent by a Quebec regulatory body

hi,
How did u come to know that it is new point system?
Any confirmed announcement by quebec authorities, pls share.

Also, I checked this website, but I could not find how to calculate points under this point system.
Pls can share, how u calculate 70+ points for your application?

Is there any possibility that it will be applicable to old applicants also?
:) thanks in advance.

All should be marked no. No. 4 only applies to diplomas issued in France, No. 3 applies to professions regulated in Quebec. These questions are used to determine if you fall in category 1 or 2.

Here is a link to all regulated professions:http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/employment/regulated-professions/professional-order.html

If your profession is listed here and you have successfully applied and obtained your license, you may then select No. 3.

Hello Kcharito
Who told you that you would get the medicals after 3months?...Has you money check being cashed?...I learnt from this forum that,
medical request do come up 2-3months on the average, but just be patient, we will get it some day very soon...When was your money cashed?..and how come were you able to check your application status, if you haven't received the medical request?

But in overall, the biggest hundle in this process is getting the CSQ....And after that, it is a game of patientce

Thanks
Hello my friend, sorry for the tardy answer.
There is an online web page from which you can check your application status.
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

The lawyers that I'm using told me that i have to wait about 3 months for the medical request, or more.
If you check some websites, they say about the same time 3-5 months.
I have to wait more though...so...patience is a virtue but believe me, this procedure is so long that sometimes you have to go on with your life...
I payed all the costs that are necessary.

Well, from my own experience, for Kcharito to be able to check his status that means he has received his Federal AOR and his payment must have been cashed, the AOR must contain his file no. and UCI. The application status will have to change from Application Received to In Process before you get to receive MR. My status change on the 1st of May, 2012 and by 22nd May, 2012 I received my MR by mail. Remember the processing time for Federal process varies with VO.

Cheers

You are 100% right. ;)
How much time you had to wait from the AOR till the change of the application status?

Omg. Are you 100% sure? Coz Y-Axis marked No.3 for me...doesn't it look weird to mark no for all? Can't it be No.4???
