Hi applicant.wife! How's your application so far? Do you have your CSQ already?

I have been a silent reader in this forum since 2009 and now that i'm ready for the next step decided to join the forum to be able to post and to ask questions that i might have to members that are already going through this experience . But seriously this forum is becoming a joke , i don't understand as adult how can some of the posts be like if we were still teenagers in high school.

I really don't understand the drama in this thread , i mean if you don't agree with someone it's totally fine but it doesn't have to be to the point of taking shots at each other or being disrespectful to other members .Anyone can post whatever they want but at the end of the day it's me as the applicant to double check the info i'm using on my application ,no one here is a lawyer or an canadian immigration officer ,so it would be foolish of anyone to just use informations without checking them or doing a little bit more research when this about your families future ,if the info one of the member is providing is not back by any facts or proof .

Speculations has never help in nothing ,we can all sit here all day long trying to figure out how they will process our applications, if they will focus more in group 1 or not ,if more people from other part of the world will have a hard time, seriously we don't know ! Unless you read it directly from the immigration site all these are just talk, cause every application is different, each applicant brings something different to the table and every visa office is different too .

Hello,

As many of you before applying I have some doubts, if anyone be so kind and reply.

I have an Associate in Arts degree in Business Management from a Junior College in California. It took me 2 yrs full-time basis to complete. Will I get points for "area of training group B" ? My main concern is that according to Quebec website you must have 3 yrs of study at a Junior college, though Quebec school system only has 11 yrs of school. In California is 12 yrs to obtain secondary or High school diploma. Will my Associate of arts degree (2 yrs) be enough?? Can anyone please help ??

THANKS!!

Dear Friends,
A Big Hello to All of you!!.I am a new member of this forum.I am currently residing in the US on a H1-B Visa.
I am planning to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate.

The Online Evaluation Tool indicated that i can be selected by Quebec, provided i learn the basic level of french.

How much can i trust the online evaluation?

Based on your knowledgable suggestions,I would like to proceed and enroll in a basic french course.

Is a true beginner class at the Local Alliance Francaise a good bet?

Of the different exams which one is better suited

TCF,TCFQ,TEF or TEFAQ

Declaration by a candidate practicing a regulated profession or trade in Québec (PDF, 37 Kb), if you or your spouse practises or has the training needed to practise

1) a profession governed by a professional order,
2) regulated trades in the construction industry,
3) vocational qualifications regulated by Emploi-Quebec (regulated trades outside the construction industry),

I am not sure if it falls in any of the above categories. Please advise, thanks.
