Good morning everyone. It has been a long time since I have written but I do follow the posts. Please can you update your table as I was send a letter by BIQ PARIS two weeks ago stating that they have put me on the waiting list for interview and I received an email yesterday to confirm that my interview will be on the 26 June 2012 in Paris. To make it easy to update, I am already on the table under liberwoman - biq paris- The letter states that I have to bring all my original and learn about quebec (which I dont have the time as I work) and to be honest the whole application is just doing my head in as everyone invited for interview will need at least a day off (if it is feasible as the interview ia at 15.30), get the plane and travell ( i live in the UK ) and another day to go and get a french visa ( as apparement you cannot send it by post since January 2012.. I used to send it via post). Anyways I just wanted to give you this update to put in the table as it will enable others to have an idea on the timelines of the process.
Keep up the great work you guys are doing and good luck to everyone.
Regards

Liberwoman

Hi Liberwoman,
Nice to see u back on forum,
And good luck to you for interview and for your visas for interview too.. :)
I will suggest you to study atleast the quebec information given on website, if you are not able to prepare exhaustively about quebec.
Thers is one pdf file "quebec handbook" which you can refer for preparing about your interview.

I wish you good luck and wish you get csq. :)

hi umer,
I am very sorry for not replying your query.
no, it is not restricted to bachelors degree,
however, you must compare your degree/diploma with the degrees comparatif of quebec from the GPI appendix.

@ wingsofmaybe7777 thank you so much for ur reply. I will ask my questions in bullets for u to understand better.
-I sent my A1 and A2 result by courrier on MAY 5TH.
-I also sent my IELTS general on may 5th.
-I sent additional attestation on the number of hours i completed so far( i.e, from my 1st level till now, which is level three)
-Also, i sent my hall ticket and also my fee receipts.

All these above docs were sent in one courrier on may 5th.

I had sent my IELTS academic when i sent out my application in december 2011. I received a letter of my file opening in mid of jan 2012 and in april i received a letter saying they are waiting for my french and ielts marks sheet.

This letter made me think that they have not accepted my academic ielts so i gave my general ielts and sent it out as well along with my A1 nd A2.

Now my querys are-
-what should i wait for next?
-when can i expect a CSQ?
-how long will it take to complete the entire process ?

Would it help you to answer my queries if i provide u with my general profile?

Some friends of mine have applied to QSW as well but their requirement is B1. i dont know why this differs from person to person and if the info im getting is right or not. also, one of my friends who had a requirement of B1 is now suddenly being asked for B2. How can her consultancy people think she can finish all this in 6months when she has only given A1 till now? shes giving her A2 on may 8th. I am specifying 6 months cuz thats the time the embassy gives you to complete ur requirements after ur file has been opened

Please reply. waiting eagerly for some answers.

All my friends who have applied for QSW and the consultancy as well keep saying so many things that its making me terribly confused!

PLEASE mark " @ gryffindorgirl" for ur reply.

Thanks!!

someone PLEASE reply :'( :'( im desperately waiting for some response.

congrats! liberwoman atleast some one got the interview call and u have a pluspoint for being fluent in French. I am 1000% sure u will get the CSQ even if u dont have extraordinary knowledge about quebec...But that does not mean u dont prepare ur self..But u have a ++point with u..

best of luck!

Hey All,

I'm sharing a useful health tip with you guys

Immigrants who come to Canada from sunnier parts of the world are at risk of health problems caused by a lack of vitamin D unless they take supplements, doctors and nutritionists warn.

No its not restricted to Bachelors degree.. Bachelors degree is a minimum criteria to claim points for AOT.
