I too have an MS and BS in civil engineering, I sent both original diplomas directly to the Order of Engineers. The order states that a tru certified copy must be submitted. So make sure your diplomas are notarized and if possible authenticated by the issuing institution. I sent my original diplomas, as I am outside of Canada, and I specifically requested that they be sent back after they have been verified.

Keep in mind that the only document sent directly from the university to the Order is a copy of your transcripts, that is if you graduated within the US or Canada only. If you graduated outside the US and Canada a notarized/ authenticated copy of your transcripts must be included in you application and you can send this your self.

Here is a complete list of the docs. you need to apply:

http://www.oiq.qc.ca/en/Iam/applicant/obtainingPermit/otherCountries/Pages/documents.aspx

Keep in mind that there is a hefty fee associated with your application (~$850) so you need to decide if it is worth it for you to apply before you arrive.

Hope this helps.

+1
Thank you again, i highly appreciate your help
I think it is worth and it will be more better to start it before the interview, maybe it will show how serious i am by my immigration

Hello rana_Quebec,

I did not get what you have said. Can you please elaborate? If you don't want to accompany your spouse at the time of your landing in Quebec........ then your spouse can apply for federal application later after getting her CSQ.?

Hello all. Can anyone please help?? The Application for Selection Certificate (A-0520-AA) form says "Dynamic PDF to come". So does this mean till then we fill out the form hand written? Or do we wait till the dynamic pdf is there and then submit the application?

Also, since rule and forms have changed recently, the new Documents checklist (A-1520-AA) does not state anywhere about submitting a copy of the PR application for Canada....so is it not required to be submitted anymore during the CSQ application? PLEASE reply...

i have dynamic PDF of (A-0520-AA) please send me email kool_aalash@hotmail.com i would send you

Hello everyone !

Can one of you guys help with the proof of funds ? Do i need to send bank statement with my application ? If so, do you think it will be an issue if i send my spouse bank account statement ? We have a joint account but can't really use that one for the moment ,the little saving we have for the immigration process was saved in my spouse account ,trying to keep it away from our daily spending . Will the last statement be enough or do we need to have months of it ? The reason i am asking it's because we open that account with our tax return of this year .Any idea or suggestion from anyone that went through this already ? Thank you guys.

Hello,
For Quebec there is no need to send bank statement, you just need to sign the Contract respecting financial self-sufficiency (CFS)

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/caf.html
And yes, yours or your spouse bank account will be accepted as they always consider the family for proof of funds

Hello Bachar ,
Thanks for your answer ..so if i understand correctly at the application stage all i need to send is the contract (CFS)? So in case i get called for an interview i need to have the bank statement ready or just for landing ?

Hi mkshah and experts,

Hey quebec2011,

this is so sad man. after taking all that effort and painful waiting... a rejection. i'm so sorry for your case. the strangest thing was that they awarded language points on the new point scheme for a 2010 applicant !! absolutely crazy. so whats your next plan ?

quebecois media keeps harping on how they need immigrants this immigrants that, but the BIQ keeps rejecting eligible cases left and right.

Dear friends,
Today I received the result of my appeal and it is without change which means I am rejected now. The reason of my rejection is not having enough point. Quebec immigration is very unfair now a days I hope that some positive change will happen.
I wish you all the best.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you this sad news. But, one thing I can't understand, if you are short of points then why they have not informed you before, why after two years. why they not given you the alert to submit some higher level results? It's really shocking....

was counted only 3 year .In free online acessment I am getting 56
points but according to them it was only 42 .

However I replied with this information to Hong Kong office on 15th feb 2012.

After 2 months on 10th april 2012 , I received the same letter from their
office which shows that they can not accept my application. Now I have get
90 days time period for my decision review at MICC montreal , Canada.

Now I am totally confused that what thing will I write to MICC .

Hi,
i don't think so because once your are assessed for the CSQ the main they assess is ur qualification and ur experience and ur language etc
and left with the federal part its all about security clearance and medicals. I think so they are not inculded in the federal backlog cos the backlog is for FSW not for federal i think so

This is exactly my case and I don't know why are they not giving the point of area of training.

I think even if you do administrative review nothing will change and it is my opinion, but you can give it a try.

All the best

Hi everyone,
Please seniors I got a question that need urgent answer.

My application was received on 3rd Feb by BIQ paris. My method of payment is by VISA debit card whose details I filled in the payment form. Now my bank is issuing New VISA card to replace the existing ones to all clients which will have different details. Do I need to fill a new payment form and send with explanation letter? Can I use a different payment method such as certified cheque and attach an explanatory note and if so hope will it be at the old fee rate?
Thanks for your quick response.
