hi,

congratulations! did you receive it by email?

Thanks and yes, I only got an email about it. The header of the email read that that would be the only notification I would get.

congratulations bluecougar26,
When is ur interview scheduled?

as u mentioned in ur post, what inputs u need for further process?
Is any help required, feel free to ask here in forum..

And Good Luck buddy for ur interview :)

Thanks, my interview is scheduled for the last week of April.

I have gotten tons of help by just reading the posts on the forum, what I meant is that I really didn't hear much from the BIQ so I had given up much hope in regards to getting help or info from them.

I thought I would be able to get priority processing because of my degree, I emailed them about it and never heard back.

can you let me know where can you check your results over the internet? i need to check my A1 result.

No idea if you can get it online. I got it from the Alliance Francaise office.

hi nevillek,
I can understand your situation my friend,
my advice to you is that first of all, dont panic because of your results in A2 exam, :)
it is not the end of world.. you can surely take this exam again and as many times you wish to take.... :)
second point, dont worry about reaching to the threshold of 55 points with 6 points from adaptability, because interview is too far from now... may be 12-18 months from your AOR date for indian candidates. also, as per my understanding once you submitted ur language certificates with your application, it doesnt lock your points there itself, at later stage, you can surely update them with the change in your language proficiency ( and they encourage applicants to update them about any changes within 60 days of change :) ). so you can still pass A2 exam and B1 exam with higher scores and submit test scores.

and lets think, if it doesnt work this way, and if you could not get full 6 points of adaptability in interview, then also based on your other credentials, they can give you some more time to learn french and again come for interview to show your french skills. It is not that they will reject you straight-way...

so... dont panic... be confident and prepare well for french next level exam :)
wish you good luck

Hey Raj.. thanks for the support. I was told by Alliance Francaise that you are not allowed to re-appear for a DELF exam. Another thing, according to the new rules you can claim language points ONLY if you submit the DELF certificates at the time of applying, so it's doubtful that they would consider B1 or B2 level certificates at a later point of time and let me claim more points for that.

The whole 'adaptability' points system is flawed because an applicant with the minimum points (49 for single applicant) NEVER knows how many points they will get for adaptability in the interview and most of the times they're not going to get full 6 points, so they won't get the CSQ. QHC fails to mention that it's a risk to apply with 49 points because you're making a scary assumption of getting full 6 points for adaptability. I was told by immigration consultants that the max points they give for adaptability is 5. Imagine waiting 2 years for an interview to end up getting 5 out of 6 points and missing out on the CSQ by 1 point because your total becomes 49+6=54. It's like a guessing game.

Goodluck to you.

I wonder if those who got CSQ as a priority (it says priority treatment on the CSQ) will also be treated as priority at the federal level...

hi rgquebec,
pls check on cic website under section "Quebec Selected Skilled Workers".
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/index.asp
There you will find complete application kit which you need to download and fill as per the instructions. Also there will be a checklist as per which you must arrange the documents and submit as per the prescribed format.

After getting CSQ, next step will be applying for PR. After you submit your forms for Permanent Residency, first thing you will be getting is your AOR letter. If any document is missing, they will send your PR application and all attached documents back to you.
If they find your application package complete as per their requirement, it will be transferred to your VO.
Then comes the stage of security checks & backgrounds checks, PCC, medicals, etc.

At this stage you will get Medical Exams Request.
