hi, along with your application, you must send notarized photocopies of all documents related to your employments for last 5 years.
It includes Employment contracts, all salary slips, pf statements, tax certificate, promotion letters, resignation/relieving letter, work experience letter. And the most important aof all: LETTER FROM EMPLOYER MENTIONING YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, START DATE AND END DATE OF YOUR EMPLOYMENT, DESIGNATION. IT SHOULD BE ON LETTER HEAD OF EMPLOYER WITH SIGN AND STAMP OF AUTHORIZED PERSON OR YOUR IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR. You must send this document in original and not the notarized photocopy.
Hi, mkshah.....thank you for your respond. I did a little research and everything you have mentioned is for HK visa office. And to be honest with you, you have to submit a lot of documents :eek: I am from Vienna office so there is a huge difference between this 2 visa offices. I just wanted to check if someone have send both employment contract and certificates.
;)

dez, thanks a ton my friend..... :):):)
that has cleared so many doubts I was having for DELF A1/A2 exams and surely it will not only be helpful to me, but there are many forum members who will be taking A2 exam in this nov and also for those who are preparing it for future exam.

It is very very helpful my friend !!!! Thank you for your support :)

Pls can you help me with questions they can ask in production orale?

Hi Mk Shah,

I just saw your post on your forthcoming DELF exams. Ist of all, all the best I am sure you'll do well. I also wanted to give my 2 cents as regards what areas to focus on. my impressions are on A2 coz i never sat for A1. Ist thing is probably the most obvious. Try and answer everything. My feeling is that DELF (A2). is all about your understanding. Forget grammar (not that it's not important), so even if you are not completely sure about something write the bit you can and this will earn you a 0.5 mark here and there and this do add up eventually.

The weakest link (as in the section to target for easy marks) is the comprehension ecrite. i think this is for all DELF exams so if you are well prepared, focus on that section and you can easily get 25/25 (which would only leave you with another 25 to get from the other three sections if you happen to be having a bad day- i hope this won't be the case). The next section is production ecrite. here for delf A2 you have 2 essays of about 80 words each i guess. that's not much and again, it's the same mantra, just write and write and write. here again you can easily get over 20.

comprehension orale was tricky for me even at A2 but i still got 18. they are relatively short recordings so even if you can't get everything it's pretty easy to get the gist of what they're talking about. i don't think you're as bad as i was/i'm in this section but if it's rough, try and go with the gist.

production orale, my name starts with z so when they called us into the room, i was always last for A2 and B1. i learnt something while waiting for my turn and listening to the guys before me which i think helped me in this section for both levels. this is to get the first bit right. it's where you talk about yourself et al. you can't be blind sided by this question coz it's about you so prepare to say as much as you can here even if it goes beyond the 3-5 minutes they give you. it's your chance to impress the examiner (you know first impressions...et al). if you're fumbling here, you'll probably have it rough with the questions you drew from the lots as your confidence will have evaporated and the examiner will start getting impatient with you (it's a very human thing) and this will probably make you more nervous. if you start well with the introductory part, the examiner will have more time for you even if you're fumbling with the lot questions (at least mine were on both A2 and B1).

finally (if you haven't seen it yet) here is a link with some past papers. i don't think it's all that myself but you can get the feel of what the exams really are like. the production orale is always the same except with the lot questions. http://iomcworld.com/blog/2010/05/13/delf-and-dalf-exam-preparation-tests/

this wasn't probably that helpful but i hope you will do well. all my best

And I have no knowledge about vienna BIQ documents so could not help you regarding that... :(
just a suggestion, if you can check for this on site of your Visa Office. It must be mentioned there as I got this info from BIQ HK website only.

Just to update you all..

Yesterday I sent an email to BIQ HK asking status of my application.

Today they replied to my mail mentioning that they have received my documents :), but due to heavy numbers of applications received by them, it is waiting to be opened :(.

So.... at least I have something to cheer for now... that they confirmed that my application is received and they will open it soon for further processing :)

you are very welcome. the format of production orale is the same for A2 and B1. the only difference is the timing spent on each section and the content you're supposed to produce. the first bit is where you talk about yourself. in A1 i heard it all ends there and you spend only a minute on that section. in A2 you'll have to talk about yourself and activities/ hobbies etc (i think this is 3 to 5 mins, I can't really remember), then describe the same. that's the whole point of A2- to prove understanding by DESCRIPTION. by the time you get to B1, you should express opinions.

for the next 2 questions you will draw questions from an envelope. for one you are given time to prepare, ie jot your points down, and the other one is in form of an interview. the questions are varied. in my case i remember i was asked to talk about my last holiday experience( where and what etc). if you have connexions 2, you can go thro' the themes in each of the four sections coz the questions pretty much come from there. just pick a few words you think summarize the themes in each sections and you should be fine. sorry i can't be more specific than that. don't know if you have looked here for a rough idea.
http://www.ciep.fr/en/delfdalf/sujet.php

ps: remember you need to score at least a five to be awarded marks in each section (i'm sure you won't have to worry about that anyway). all the best again

Hi Folks,
I'm getting conflicting information from various sources on whether the transcripts of university studies are mandatory and not. Can you please confirm on this? Are the transcripts required?
Now that I've sent my app without my spouse's transcript but attested copy is included whats the next possible step? My transcripts are included though...

Edu. Transcripts are mandatory. I guess the question is "in what form ?" for the CSQ, its not mandatory to have it in university sealed envelopes and stuff. Its enough to just take a copy and get it notarised.

From the BIQ site...
Code:
9. Studies and training

Enclose with your application:
>>a copy of all diplomas or certificates for secondary, post-secondary and/or university studies, arranged and stapled in descending chronological order (the most recent document appearing first);
>>[u]a copy of all academic transcripts for each of your years of study[/u], including the present year, excluding primary studies, arranged and stapled in descending chronological order;
>>a copy of the registration certificate for the current study program, if any, and a letter from the educational institution indicating whether you are studying full time or part time;
proof of studies in Québec, where applicable: a copy of the diploma granted by an educational institution in Québec.
>>If you plan to practise a regulated trade or profession in Québec and you have obtained recognition of the equivalence of your diploma or training from the relevant regulatory body, you must provide proof
Applicants from China will probably be asked to have their post-secondary diplomas and certificates authenticated by the The China Academic Degree & Graduate Education Development Center (CADGEDC)

[i]Note: The same documents must be furnished by your spouse.[/i]
