hi all members,
i am new to this forum, i'll really appreciate that if you will let me know that i am eligible for qsw or not (pls elaborate my points in each stream). here is my information in detail:-

age: 31 yrs
education: Bachelor in Arts (B.A) (2005)
Bachelor in Law (B.A LLB) (nov 2008)
working: self practice laywer since 2008
language : English: fluent
French: None but will start learning soon
my wife
age: 28 yrs
Education: Bachelor in Arts (B.A)(2005)
Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (2006-2007)
Masters in Arts (English) (M.A) (2011) { M.A done as a correspondence self study at home}
Working as a Secondary school teacher (indian government employee) since 2007
Language: English: fluent
French: None but will start learning soon
children : none

have no relative or friends in quebec.......
please tell me wether i should be a principal applicant or my wife...

Si votre dossier ne peut se qualifier pour un traitement prioritaire et que votre demande a été déposée après novembre 2010, vous êtes invité à maintenir à jour votre dossier et à patienter jusqu'a ce que nous communiquions avec vous.



Kindly note that we had only sent you the acknowledgement in October 2011.
For your info, it has been more than a year since the volume of applications has considerably increased and we are still experiencing delay in prescreening files deposited since November 2010. If your file cannot qualify as a priority case and that it has been deposited after November 2010, you are invited to update us whenever need be of your file and be patient until we next communicate with you.)

They have predefined format for sending the mail and send it to everybody...the same thing. They are just taking the interest of our application fees by investing in bank. Nothing more than that. After that they will let us know their decision. Total QSW + Federal application takes more than 2.3 year. It is really disappointing.

I just received an email coming from BIQ HK confirming that they received and reviewing my updated documents in regard of my request to update my documents that has been unintentionally declared erroneously. I am optimistic that they will provide just verdict on my application.

I just wanted to inspire all of you and have a little more patience.

I already got my medical request, did the medical tests on the 30th of April and they were sent to London Office when the results were ready.

So what is next on the agenda? I also already gave the Landing Fees to my agent as requested.

Anything else i need to do now?

Who else here submitted their application between March 26 - 30, 2012? Have you gotten confirmation of opening your file?

I got mine through snail mail and it states that they started reviewing my documents since April 20, 2012 and earlier today I received an email that my updated documents that I sent April 28, 2012 was included to their review.

No dear, if you have total 16 years of Education and ur masters was 2 years program you will get 10 points.

Pls check my understanding about both the posts and correct me if needed.

Dear MKShah,
The first post was confirmation of rule which will be used for treatement of application. so, as per this post, all applications will be treated as per the rules prevailing at the date of AOR (yes, it will be tretaed as per the date of AOR mentioned on the letter).
And the second one was the rule applied to evaluate your language competency i.e. French or English. if I understood correctly, pre 6th-dec 2011 applicants will not be treated as per 16/25 rule for DELF (yes, it will be treated by their concerning GPI of that month when theri AOR was received, as there was no undertanding b/w Ministry & BIQ to bring language competency rule for pre december applicants). Also they have flexibility of submitting language test results at a later date (yes, only for pre december applicants but for after 6 december rule all the new applicants have to submit with their application).Because both these questions were so doubtful for all the members of this forum. I hope its clear now. (Yes, it was and i wrote numerous emails from different point of view to get their response on the above queries, as u know they are professionals and never utter a word in simple sentence)

Please try to answer this question because it will also help to understand the efforts needed to qualify in the interview...

Question:

As you know a single applicant needs 49 points to reach the minimum threshold requirement for appearing in the interview, and to get the CSQ he/she need 6 points from the adaptibility section total 49+6=55 points. Now the main point is if an applicant have got say 52 points in the pre-adaptibility phase he just need 4 points from adaptibility section to qualify for CSQ?

Or it does not matter how many points he have in he have to get all the 6 points from Adaptibility section?

Please throw some light upon it..which statement is true?

As per new rule April 2012, DELF A2= 2+2=4

they have changed it to 3+3, check GPI on pg.38
