Nayak and Smallie,

Dear friends,

I did have my interview last week, zero French, and had interview in English, passed it, and got CSQ-Priority. My advise is if u want to claim points for French, then u better learn it before ur interview so u can satisfy the immigration officer. I did not claim any marks for French, coz I know no French. I have just started learning more and more French now, because obviously, this is a Francophone society, and before I go, i must be able to communicate in French.

I hope that helps.

Congrats Netsaig! Kindly let us know your timeline and your total number of points at the time of submitting your application. The breakdown of your points will do us a lot of good as well. Extend greetings to the entire members of your family. See you at the top! Congrats once more. Hope to read from you soon. Donsoft

hi all,
my name is mansoor, i have already applied for quebec csq two weeks ago and still waiting for acknowledgment from pairs .. since 4 years i have been living in uganda but i m permanent resident of pakistan. i had done my master in computer sciences and second master is in master in business administration. i have more than 10 years exp. my age is 36 years. i m married with 2 kids. my wife also have a experience of chef and in her form i mention about it and one year cooking experience in pak. my english level is expert level but french is 0. but i have passed the preliminary online test.

the question which i need to ask from this respected forum that one of the form which we filled and signed was declaration on the common values of quebec society. its stated as parents we need to learn french in quebec if we do not speak already. so my question is that should we start learning here or we also can study in quebec.

ur response is requested in this regard.

thx, mansoor

Mansoor,

I think you should start learning french ASAP...it will not only help you get the visa...but also in professional and personal life in quebec.
Good luck.

Shahi

But I still hope for being invited for interview by early 2011 :)

Congratulations Angeleye...the storm is over, now you just have to ace your interview, and you'll be straight on your way to Canada. Could you please explain how you got them to change their mind?

@ shahi and iceberg: thanks alot guyz and bestest wishes for you ppl :)

@ really: thanks buddy. well when i received my rejection letter in august, i sent them a detailed email, and attached all the supporting documents and explained them. after 2 mnths and sending them few reminders ;), they sent a letter and asked for my transcripts again, whch i had already sent them with the previous emial, such a dumb they are. then i again wrote email, attached transcripts and explianed in very simple words. then after one mnth, yesterday i received a letter, whcih said that im in waiting list for interview :) apart from that, my family and friend's prayers and above all, God's will has helped me in changing their mind :)

I am planning to apply for CSQ but a little confused taking qualifying points and french thingy. I calculated 57 points without french skill points. Do you guys think should I apply for CSQ this stage when i can't even speak or understand a word of French. Please help me in this and second if I will not get 6 points on interview then what would be happen?
