Guys,

Its been a little over a month since I applied and they still havent taken the money out of my account and of course no AOR.

Is this normal? Should I start to worry? Should I email them to check on my application?

For Principal applicant, 2 points are awarded for A1 and 6 points if you have passed A2. For spouse/de facto spouse, 2 points are awarded for A1 or A2.

My Points Breakdown - Shahi and seniors please comment on accuracy or if I have overrated myself

Undergraduate diploma attesting to 3 or more years of full time studies --> 10 points (Bachelor of Engineering - Electronics and Computer Engineering from UK University)

Area of Training (no point for Electronics Engineering but points are awarded for "Computer Engineering" in the areas of training list C) --> 6 points

Work Experience = 14 months --> 4 points (major issue here because emplyer will not give work certificates - do you think its a major issue? I wrote a covering letter explaining this).

Age --> 16 points
French Proficiency --> 6 points (DELF A2)

English proficiency --> 6 points (for sure )

Financial Self sufficiency --> 1 point

Total --> 49 points

Is this accurate?

@Satya..Sorry for being late.... i got three test papers..Simply Google DELF B1 and first two sites will have test papers...For prep i used only the AF books... try and arrange if u have to appear..good luck

@chibiks... i think
1. send your offer letter (in case you cant get work certificates) with salary slips as proof of employment.
2. make sure Electronic engineering gets 6 points..
3. Since ur right on edge $9points..try to get 2 more points..continue french and send them certificate of current level you are pursuing..n Hopefully all will be fine!! Good Luck

Thanks for your swift response.

Actually no points are awarded for electronics engineering but 6 points are awarded for computer engineering; as I studied "Electronics and Computer Engineering" its a gamble really whether or not I will be awarded points for Computer Engineering (6 points) or Electronics Engineering (0 points).

Something else I wanted to find out is how many points are awarded for Graduate Certificate courses (not masters) done in Canada - any ideas?

Hi everyone,

I have read many of your posts and quite enjoy this forum. I am interested in immigrating to Montreal, Qc because for one it is a beautiful, vibrant and diverse city. My sister also lives there and I have visited a few times and loved it. I submitted my CSQ application on Aug 18 so I think I'm behind most of you! It's hard to not think about this whole Quebec immigration all the time. I'm trying to keep myself busy and stay sane because I know I have just begun and I have a long wait. I am with the Mexican embassy for the CSQ part and Trinidad embassy for the federal.

To everyone else on this forum, I know your time will come and hopefully in the not too distant future we will be able to achieve our goals and dreams. Talk soon!

Hi everyone,
I will send my documents soon for federal to VO Kuala Lumpur. I am waiting for PCCs which will take around one month more. I need some advice regarding the form IMM0008- Application for Permanent Residence in Canada. As requested by the BIQ Hongkong, I have filled up this form and sent a copy with my CSQ application. Now, i have to submit the original. However, I have to make few changes now ( new passport number, height of my daughter, etcc.). Do I need to make the updates on that particular form or can i fill up a new one. Its not legible when i am writing the new expiry date of my passport. Advice please?>
