being selected by quebec does not imply u are in a prison bro.. just ensure u contribute ur quota to quebec.. in terms of hlping to increase its popultion( u knw Quebec and Toronto are always in stiff competition) , paying ur tax meaning u working in quebec, the list is endless.... just that caution must be applied cos prolonged absence for a period of over a year will make one INIllegible to use the medicare insurance
u will not be assigned a personal policeman to monitor ur movement.. they leave evryone to choose aw he/she choose to go abt things... but trust me they knw that defauters will one day need them and at that point they wont show mercy to any defauters

im going to Quebec cos im adventurous, want to learn French and work in a bilingual job to become fluent in french... Plus day care is cheap and cost of living is cheaper compared to toronto and Montreal (outskirts) is quiet. these are things i cherish about da province that mk me wanna move!

egrace I will say also look for jobs outside montreal. Outside montreal less competition and lack of fluency in french becomes more excusable as not many ppl wanna live outside montreal.

I didnt submit police clearance when i submitted app to buffalo and did not add a covering note which i should have - i hope it does not delay my app. Anyways do you think emailing buffalo pleading for priority processing when i get my file number will work?

All the best bro... cheers

Respected Members,

I am planning for Quebec Skilled Worker Immigration, i am a bit confused about the points for education and training, the official site is pretty confusing, can some one give me the answers of the following questions and help me in evaluation my profile whether i am eligible or not.

Following link shows me
Master of Arts, Sciences, etc.. (2 years after a Bachelor for a period of two years or one year after a Bachelor of 3 years) = 3 years Honors degree
www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI_3_1_PAKISTAN.pdf

Does my 2 years master degree after a Bachelor for a period of two years equal to the 3 or 4 years undergraduate degree?
Does my qualification falls in the list of training?

My total years of education is 16 years.

Age:
30 Years
Eduction:
B.Sc (Computer, Statistics) - 2 Years - Pakistan
MCS/M.Sc (Computer Science) - 2 Years - Pakistan
Experience:
Senior Software Engineer - 6 Years
IELTS:
Overall: 6.5 Listening: 6, Speaking: 5.5
Martial Status:
Married - 3 Kids under 12 years of age
Spouse Eduction:
B.Sc (Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) - 2 Years - Pakistan
M.Sc (Botany) - 2 Years - Pakistan
Spouse Experience:
2 Years (Teaching etc).
Spouse Age:
30 Years

@egrace
i updated my reply with some comments for u in red above.

yea think about it. more people leave to toronto, more opportunity for YOU! Quebec doesnt end in montreal. in other parts you can be employed without fluent french. if u want something strongly enough and long enough, you will get it cheers!

egrace I will say also look for jobs outside montreal. Outside montreal less competition and lack of fluency in french becomes more excusable as not many ppl wanna live outside montreal. do u mean other part of quebec or outside Quebec .. well i av had my fair share of jobs here in Montreal... at least i av gotten 4 jobs that i rejected and now i am about finalizing another one with a coy called Blinds to go where my job will be to recieve calls from the USA 4rm clients and help them to make a decision... but the pay is the problem 26,800 dollar per annum and they want me to wrk on Sundays which i really dont like....but come January we will finalize... so i av been quite lucky with jobs plus i love and i want to be fully BILINGUAL

I didnt submit police clearance when i submitted app to buffalo and did not add a covering note which i should have the police certificate will be requested later when thy send u a correspondence. as for the covering letter, yeah it is important that one was included but then there really is nothing to worry abut, if there are no grey-areas in ur file. - i hope it does not delay my app. Anyways do you think emailing buffalo pleading for priority processing when i get my file number will work? well that might not work cos, they will only tell u that there are sevral other applicants like u with the code 130 stuffs as well.Plus in my own opinion , the federal guys are not always happy with the special priveleges that Quebec doo get... but then, u will lose nothing by trying the letter.... who knws it just might be ur lucky day bro
