Friends, what's the next step after receiving the first AOR?
I have not heard anything after receiving the first AOR 1.5 months back.

Now you need to wait till they either contact you to tell you when your interview is going to be or send you the CSQ directly.. But this is not a usual thing to happen..

So does this mean that the BIQ(hopefully) does not need further documents from me? Because its a long time since the first AOR.

AOR Received from Hong Kong office

Bonjour

I have send my Quebec Selection Certificate application on 05 September 2011 by DHL from dubai. It was received by Hong Kong office on 07 September. I was waiting for reply and always asking my office receptionist either there is any letter in my name. But she always said no. I emailed Hong kong office on 30 November and they reply my AOR was send on 22 October 2011 and they send me 8 nos ind. ref. no. where 2 letter 6 digit numbers. is it file number? Could anyone explain.

Later I checked with my office receptionist there is no letter. May be She through it.

I asked to Hong Kong office to send again by email. The send me letter sample with file name "P-104 pour CE" which stating the acknowledgement of receipt that they start review my application.

Could anyone say what will be the next step?

Also note that the applicant gets 2 points just by being registered in the basic French course.

As you said I have already registered myself for the basic A1 level course with AF. Can I claim 2 points for this without appearing for DELF A1 exam. Kindly confirm this.

Yes that is AOR.

Next step will be the result of preliminary examination, if your file is complete then you will get interview call or interview waiting list letter.

I have 2 bachelor degree, Degree in Electrical engineering and degree in Nursing, I completed that in 18 years, how to calculate my education points? It's can consider as Graduate diploma of university studies - 2 years (in Québec, the diploma is obtained after completing 18 to 19 years of full-time education)?

Just to say hello,

Vienna office is very slow 107 days past from receiving my application and nothing happened yet?
My agent (D.Cohen co.) is telling me that I have to wait at least 4 months for the AOR? :-X
Waiting time is very hectic.

I am not sure about that.. But I think giving the AOR doesn't mean they have started processing your file, it means they have received your application and gave it a number so that you can follow up or update your application using this number..

The below link is for the complete list of 520 Occupations recognized by the Canadian government:

Each title has a job description and a National Occupation Classification (NOC). You need to find out which one matches what you are doing currently and remember its NOC. This is mainly used for the federal part of the immigration process.

Hi maccuet,

Be careful of the consulting firm you are using, some of these consultants can waste your time and money and end up with a rejection because of there negligence...

I have a question, how did you email your visa office? I thought they will only communicate with your consultant since he/she is your representative !! How did they know its you and then sent your details ??

Please let me know, I would like to do the same..

guys i had my interview yesterday and the officer was so angry with me because i had not sent in the french test , he told me at the end that everything is ok. but he told me that he does not know what to do ? maybe he should deny me or give me time to do french and they will give me csq. i think it was the new law that was why, or what do you guys think? another thing which i was angry about is that he told me to speak french and he told me at the end its basic does he expect me to speak like the french people?
