After resending French test results with B2, do they restart verification of the file from the beginning or they continue where they left off before? Does it take less time than if a new file has been submitted? how long before receiving AOR letter? Results were sent in March 2014, file was originally sent in November 2012.

Based on my personal experience, I send them the Tefaq (C1,B2. for both of us so we got 16 points more) results last Jan, they received it on 31-01-2014.

I called them one week after they told me that someone is working on my file and the decision will be made soon but unfortunately it doesn’t happen. I called them one month after they inform me the magic phrase “your file is in waiting for treatment” , I fully agree with you that when you update them they restart the checking recalculating the points but it will not change anything in terms of waiting and they will again put your file in the queue.

I have enough points minimum 65 points and maximum I have 76 points and still doing the waiting exercise.

Regards and best of luck for all of us especially 2011 applicants since 3 years passed and no good news.

Not yet. They said the draft has not been processed yet, but the file has been opened since january 29. What about yours? have you got ur AOR?

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Quebec skilled worker program this year. I applied for FSW in 2013 and unfortunately I couldn't make it before the cap reached in my job category.
I have more than 10 years experience in USA, and sick of waiting for GC here.
I heard from one of my friend that, one need to have minimum level French language to get PR through Quebec skilled worker program even after meeting points criteria without French. Is that true?
My friend also has 7 years experience in USA and got qualified points for Quebec skilled worker program, and he applied 2 yrs back. He got a letter for interview in new York after 16 months. When he walked into the interview office in New York, everyone started talking in French even the front desk lady. She told him that he should be ready for interview in french with the officer. And my friend has no French language skills, so he did not even attend the interview.

I am wondering if someone can share their experience who got PR through Quebec skilled worker program, and has no French knowledge...how they succeeded in the interview without French?

Hi Favbless, ur AOR will soon reach ur hands. It is taking time simply becos it is being sent thru snail mail. Snail mail frm Montreal to Nigeria at times takes up to 6 weeks. Just keep checking ur mailbox n casually ask ur neighbours (if any) if they received anything. Alternatively, go to the post office that serves your area n make enquiries. I did that when I ws expecting a parcel, chit chatted with the dispatchers n warehouse staff for a few mins and dropped my number. The day my parcel arrived, two of those people gave me a call to inform me.

thank you for this advice. What i don't know is should i just go to NIPOST? I have no idea. I called Quebec and they told me its on the way. I would just keep praying and hoping it gets to me safely.

You can get it attested by your own consulate here in dubai, we indians can get that done in consulate. Better sending a notarised copy than taking a chance.

What about uae resident visa? Where to get it certify as true?
