I got an email. Mexico BIQ has only sent me emails since the beginning, even AOR and the receipt for the fees was sent through email.
Congratulations JAVZ4! I have no doubt you'll get your QSC in no time, it doesn't make sense to keep you any longer when you're well above 55 pts. Please share any updates on your file.

Jasvir Ji,

You might have read postings here in the forum that to be granted with CSQ earlier, you must obtain license from professional order with at least B2 in french proficiency.Getting AOR with 16 AOT does not guarantee you to get CSQ.So ,cool down and wait patiently to get interview call after six months to one year since the time you got AOR.

To explain you my case, have a look at below:
I have applied my file under new rule after Aug'13 in November'13 and i am expecting my AOR in feb/march. With new rule you can avail french points only after completing B2, that is i guess very much tough and dont have that much time as my A1 will finish in this Feb. Also as per the new rule if you clear 63 points (if you are applying with dependent) without french that is also fine, however you should have proficiency in french to face the interview and to get adaptability points. That is the purpose i am learning french.

Now if i explain my case i have 61 points with dependent without considering 6 points of adaptability. Now i have 3 questions:
1) what are the chances that without interview I may get CSQ?
2) IF we do have basic proficiency only in french, then can be the interview in french & English both? and will it be harmful or claim as negative point for receiving CSQ?
3) Will my spouse get interviewed by visa officer? if yes then french necessary for her?
4) What are the next steps and timeframe after i get AOR?

Need your input friends.

Hello everyone.
Though i registered in this forum today, i have been reading the posts in this forum since quite long time. About my application to Quebec, i recently send my document and expect to reach there by 13 Jan 2014. I am wondering if incase they open my file later than 31 march 2014, will my application be subjected to the new rules or the existing rules. I am also not sure how long they will take to open the case and accept the fees. Can anybody share some ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Good luck to all.

AOR needs 4 to 6 months. But one of applicant Bosschips received AOR after 3 months. Wait ... i am still waiting for AOR. I applied 10th October 2013.

Thank you for the reply. i am aware that it takes 4 to 6 months to receive AOR. In their website they mentioned that the application will be subjected to current rule if they open the case or accept fees or lets say if AOR is issued. However, if they open the case after the deadline and if they introduce another sets of rules, which might not be in our favor, then wont it be a problem? I want to know how often they change the rules and if the aforementioned condition occurs, how will our processing get affected?

Thank You again.

1. No chance at all because you are considered "Pre-qualified" for CSQ. A "qualified" file is 63 and above.
2. Based on backreading, IO starts interview in French and they will gauge you if you could continue doing so. If not, interview will be in English instead. If you are claiming points for adaptability, I guess you should impress the IO at the very least.
3. I think the principal applicant only. But no harm in preparing so.
4. It depends on your country of origin. We have different timeframes.

Hi Guys, its an unfortunate event for me...

Sent our application last July 2013 (old rules) however application was returned yesterday Jan 6, 2014 due to credit card payment problem. They have asked me to submit a new payment. May question is, am i still be processing under the old rules?

Thanks in advance for your help ;D
Most likely, you will be in the new rules.

its up to you. you failed with card so its time to try the bank draft. take note, the draft is the same as cash except that it expires. so card is more safe. think about it.
