Thanks for posting the good news.
There are total 4 mission for HK/Delhi as well.
What does exactly means 1 mission?
How many interview they can schedule within a single mission?
lemans207 said:
if we consider each interview 1 hour & they work 8 hours

So 8 interviews /day ;D during 35 days x 8 = 280 x 3 missions = 840

They will finish a lot of work
Hi Harit79 & lemans207,
Pls see Below. These are the Days of 4 Missioin @ HK/New Delhi,

It comes to Total 39 + 22 + 26 + 39 = 126 days for interviews during these 4 missions.

Counting 32 Sundays & Saturdays off = 126 -32 = 94 days
Counting 3 public hodidays of 14th nov & diwali for New Delhi mission = 94 - 3 = 91 days.

If 3 Officers are alloted per day and they take 4 interview, it will be 12 interview per day,
so approx, 91 x 12 = 1100 applicants will be interviewed during this 4 missions.

and as per the table we prepared from the AOR data of forum members, this figure of 1100 is just quota of one months applications received by BIQ HK.

so, as per this tracker, BIQ HK will be able to clear the applications upto March-2011 in this mission schedule.

AOR and Interview Date Tracker:
With details of knivesvente & Gryffindorgirl updated in this tracker:

see knivesvente's file number is 81xxx, so from 12.2010 (aislam) to 04.2012 (knivesvente), there are 818xx-661xx = 15700 files submitted to BIQ HK during this period of 17 months, so an average of 900 files per months received by BIQ HK for this period.

Do you mean that they will finish one month of application by three months of missions ??
so we must wait 4 years to get our interview call

Hi all,

I have a question regarding eligibility to apply for a selection certificate for Quebec under the skilled worker stream. My professional activity is listed in the domaines de formation that allow to obtain 6 points. However,in my case I studied architecture and was awarded a degree certificate from a university in my country (5-year degree). I would like someone to confirm I am eligible for sending my application. I am not quite sure I understand the table with the domaines de formation since in one column sometimes there is a tick under Diplôme étranger and sometimes it is under Diplôme du Québec (ou équivalent) and sometimes the tick is in both. I would like to think mine can be considered as an "equivalent degree" since my degree required me to have at least 17 years of education which is the same requirement in Quebec. Or please explain how to interpret those tables and what do those grey or ticked cells mean.

Thanks a lot,

J Mata

Hello Mkshah,

thanks for the nice post. First, I want to say, as per my thinking, these people work on the basis of Quebec work structure ( Mon - thu - Fullday and Friday - Halfday) and will take leave on Quebec & China holiday and may be not on Diwali etc.

Second thing, as per your numbering conception "see knivesvente's file number is 81xxx, so from 12.2010 (aislam) to 04.2012 (knivesvente), there are 818xx-661xx = 15700 files submitted to BIQ HK during this period of 17 months, so an average of 900 files per months received by BIQ HK for this period."

-do u think all these 15700 people will get interview call? :) No . They will shortlist and send the preliminary evaluation based on the test results submitted. Now they are very strict abt test result.

Can you remember, when they had applied Quata system for few months, only 476 applications were submitted in 3 months, because , they had made it mandatory test results. that's why.

I am sure all 15700 apllications will not get call. if that is true, one day canada will become India . :)

The only equivalent degrees are those obtained either in Canada or at some universities in France, so unless you fall in any of these categories, your degree must get at least 6 points in the foreign diploma column for your application to be acceptable.

now they are sending letters for october 2010 applicants that they are on waiting list

ppl here saying waiting list is 6 months then they invite you for interview 2 months so 6+2=8 months

Already 22 months waiting + 8/10 months = 30+ months

Then Medical each one here waiting 30+ months for Medical (who arent priority )/Damascus BIQ

Re: Our Landing Experience

Dear All,
What an experience ……. Landing is just landing: relief of job stress, weather stress… any stress... it’s you, just you and your family.
Yes, we have landed 26th August 2012, 2 pm at Montreal International Airport, Police were so kind and friendly, every word with welcome to Quebec.
Process of landing has been completed within 2 hours; all of our accompanying stuff were listed on A4 size paper and provided to police …. It made our life so easy. They didn’t even check the content of our luggage.
We declared that we have more than CAD 10,000 $ and passed out so quickly. Taxi to Avenue Du Park Hotel, and the journey has started.
I advise all to take a small hotel and look for your apartment easily.
On the 2nd September (5 days from landing) we managed to get our apartment, apply for ID Cards (at the airport upon landing), apply for Social Insurance Number, Health Insurance and open bank account with HSBC.
Guys, life is amazing, smooth and healthy weather, people are jogging and cycling everywhere, stores, malls, life full of energy.
It’s expensive, but not for non-smokers…… I smoke Davidoff Light that costs me in Qatar 2$ but in Canada – Montreal it costs 9.3 $, imagine the difference… I have to quit soon.
So, choose an area and look for an apartment is the easy way, go away a bit of the downtown and experience low rates …… don’t head to the crowded areas never.
I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate all those who have applied to immigrate to Canada – Quebec and tell them that they had the biggest right step ever, don’t listen to rumors and bull shits – excuse my language – around and keep going. You are on the right track……… if you have any questions regarding landing, please don’t hesitate to write to us and we will help as much as possible.
Wish you all the luck

Dear All,
What an experience ....... Landing is just landing: relief of job stress, weather stress... any stress... it's you, just you and your family.
Yes, we have landed 26th August 2012, 2 pm at Montreal International Airport, Police were so kind and friendly, every word with welcome to Quebec.
Process of landing has been completed within 2 hours; all of our accompanying stuff were listed on A4 size paper and provided to police .... It made our life so easy. They didn't even check the content of our luggage.
We declared that we have more than CAD 10,000 $ and passed out so quickly. Taxi to Avenue Du Park Hotel, and the journey has started.

Congratulations on your safe landing in Quebec, Canada. Your write up is quite brief and straight to the point, nice one there. I look forward to landing soon too. Certainly I agree with you that we have made the right choice to Land in Quebec and I look forward to a wonderful experience too.

I have been exercising concerns with the address to use for the PR card, did you update your address after securing your apartment. I hope to secure an apartment before landing or as soon as I land with my family. Here is wishing you the very best with your new life in Quebec.

Cheers.
