i sent my medicals on nov 2013, they updated my status to "in process" one month ago

It's very weird indeed!!! I have some friends that have their files submitted 2 months after mine, and they are in process since January...
I'm really worried about it.. I tried to send them an e-mail to ask about this delay and, as usual, no answer.

does anyone know if this is a usual case? is it possible that they already started my file processing but still didn't update my e-case?

The only issue I had with my file is that I had to send the landing fees (490$) twice, first using the online payment method which is unacceptable in Bucharest.. and second time using a certified Cheque... could this be a reason for the delays? anyone had the same issue??
any answer would be appreciated..

Thanks,

Their background check complete maybe ;) then they start processing your application for visa

you mean that they do the background check before updating the e-case to "in process" ?
if so, then "in process" would be only verifying the documents and it should not take too much time right?

I think that the whole process is very strange and it's not following any rules, except the moodiness of the agent in charge...

dear all
Concernng "Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec".
3 months ago i got a receipt that they received my file and gave me a file number.
a week ago they sent me a mail containing the true copies of the diploma and true copies of the official high school and the translations.

is this normal?

I concluded it, ive never worked in embassy b4 :D
But I am sure they start new step, either you backgrounds and your file complete, and they start processing for visa
or they start background checks after in process, this is more logic to me since its taking long time for visa after becoming in process.

yes normal, in the mail they include a letter telling you that they took copies of your diplomas after verification of the original ones, and they ask you to wait for further updates.. I have been for 8 months after they returned my original diplomas and nothing yet.. according to the process time on their website it may take 4 more months -__-

you can make a traveler check or if you want to kept your bank account in Lebanon make instruction to transfer by fax or email then when you open account in CA transfer the money requested by fax or email
