hello canadian citizen,by now you fiance's file did reached a 6 month of waiting?

Let me tell you about my case so you see that the wait doesn't necessarily start after the medical exam.
I did the medical exam on July 8, submitted the updated docs to the embassy and they arrived on July 22.
On my e-cas it shows that the process started on August 13, so there's a timeline of almost 5 weeks between the medical and the process, and a timeline of almost 3 weeks between docs submission and process.
That's why it's not accurate to know when exactly it will be 3 or 5 or 6 months of waiting...
Most ppl don't have the new processing date on their e-cas, so no one knows when it actually started

That's why maybe new applicants getting visa fast, they don't wait for new documents to be received

Recently i seen 2 cases different visa offices that they received aor and meds same day

This means security check done after meds

I called CIC to check on this and was told in most cases and depending on the country, background checks are done BEFORE the medicals and security checks AFTER the medical.

At the end of November will be the 6 months mark.

I applied for a multiple entry visit visa last week from Riyadh, took them 4 days to process it and they granted me 3 years visit visa. Hope it will be the last one as a visitor...

Do you think the visits may delay your application?

On the contrary, it should help especially with the security check cause they'll see that I'm working abroad and visiting Canada so many times. Till this date, the number of days reached 100, too bad they're not counted for citizenship. Add to this that my wife is already there, working and paying taxes.
Another thing, while I was there I called the immigration toll free line and asked about the visit visa, they said that it won't have any bad effect on ur immigration file...

funny thing no one answer the important questions... :S

Be patient till mid November - mid December... Hopefully you should hear something by then.
The issue is that no one from 2010 applicants, who had their file transfered to Bucharest, received an email regarding the passport request

Cheer up everybody, at least our waiting time tim is only less than 6 months.. no more years or being forgotten on the unknown!
Plus, within days CIC should update its quarterly table for processing times... last one was July 2013.

which email? the one from Bucharest? they mention 8 months before contacting them again

in the last email i received from Amman office ( concerning updating docs and requesting police certificate), they say PPR could take up to 6 months form the medical exam.
