Guys! A quest!

In the mail enclosing the requested documents for update, I didnt receive another email to redeclare concerning my military service period as all of you. what do u think!? m32oul ykoun because i was exempted min l service then the service was abolished by the goverment!?

Am really concerned about this!

If they didn't ask for it then don't worry. They probably know the year it was abolished so they know you weren't affected by it. Only send them what they asked for.

I am confused about citizenship and PR CARD, when do we get citizenship

About 10 years, he told me that they are thinking that new immigrants should spend 10 years to get passport, like in spain and many other places

You become a permanent resident of Canada when you land. They will send you a PR Card in the mail because this is your status in Canada. You can use the card to leave and re-enter Canada. I believe the PR car expires every 5 years or so. But when you apply for citizenship and get it...you won't need your PR Card anymore. Here is what you need to apply for citizenship.

Once your a citizen, you have all the rights any Canadians has, including the right to vote. You don't have the right to vote when your a permanent resident.

dnt be concerned at all. those who had military service need to present their military service card, and they ask for military documents for time interval when it was still active.
so dnt be concerned and forget ab it and stick exactly to documents they are asking for.

dear lemans

You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before you apply. This does not apply to children under 18.

It`s not counted by years, it`s counted by days, because you can leave Canada (i.e. for vacation) and those days will be counted against you.

LOL...I'm only saying what's already on CIC.

I actually live in Ottawa, not Montreal.... but you should probably get a hotel near the downtown area, that way everything is walking distance.

It is hard to stay in dt Montreal, it is so crowded. I spend most of my time there. Most of your day is spent in the traffic and lots of traffic lights, in addition to people crossing the sidewalk. You can rent around Montreal, like cote des neiges, jean-talon area, Beaumont... Laval is 35 minutes from dt Montreal.
I have a car here and it's hard to move around, taking the metro is easier

From all these places all you have to do is take the autoroute 15S then the autoroute 720E and you'll be in dt Montreal :) it takes 15-20 minutes max

hahahhahaha
youre so funy guys from cote de neiges to montreal it takes 35 minutes and you cannot handle that
and from dawra to burj hamoud it takes 4 hours !!! but u can handle it

mazbout lebanese :P
