I prefer the painful truth than the happy illusions ..
i asked 2 applicants who got their visas granted ..
one qsw told me i did the med in july 2012
And the other told me i did the med in october 2012 .. so, I am just saying what I heard and it's up to you to expect whatever you want and believe.

The ppr was requested after 2 months from the med in the past... but, now things have changed since they requested the medical before the security checks ... and it was before after security checks cleared ...

Guys ,

check this and read well :

Files currently being processed, that is, those for which processing began before August 1, 2013 are reviewed according to the rules currently in effect. Applications for which processing has not yet begun and those received after August 1, 2013, will be reviewed according to the new rules.

also :

Reception of application

The Ministère checks if you can file an application for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) in accordance with the rules in effect, if all the required documents are included in your application and if it is eligible for priority processing.

An acknowledgment of receipt is sent to you to confirm reception of a complete application and, if applicable, to indicate that your application will be prioritized for processing. Your file will be returned to you if your application cannot be considered.

That means " Processing" starts immediately after AOR, that is after making sure your application is accepted according to current rules.

and aas they mentioned in the first quote; " those for which processing began before August 1, 2013 are reviewed according to the rules currently in effect ", then that means :

1) if you already got AOR, then there is no need to even think about the new rules issue

2) if you still didnt get the AOR, then there would be a posibility, that they transfer you to new rules, and if so ; they will need to send you an official letter stating that, and probably by mail not email.

Hopefully this would help you guys..

good luck ..

dear all

did anyone sent a request for "Obtaining an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec"

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/employment/comparative-evaluation/submitting-request/educational-documents.html

Exception
Exception – Sending of transcripts to the MICC by some institutions of higher education

All higher education institutions in Canadian provinces, Hong Kong, the United States (including American universities or colleges established elsewhere), Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Thailand and Turkey must forward the transcripts that they issue, in a sealed envelope, directly to the office of the Ministère responsible for processing your request.

i graduated from "American University of Science and Technology" AUST, so should i send my diploma alone and ask the university to send the transcripts alone.

I'm an AUST graduate too. I sent them a certified copy of the diploma. I already had the grades and I also sent them certified, I think they can be accepted too cause my grades are stamped from the foreign affairs, ministry of higher education, Saudi Arabian Arabian embassy, meaning they're not tempered with. Of course u have to translate the bacc2 diploma and send it along with the cheque and filled forms

so what u think cssade? i can get the an official transcript from the university and send them along with other papers?
because how i will send my application alone and the university send the transcript alone?

I sent the transcript along with the documents and they didn't make a problem, it means they are accepted by MICC

@JessJessy
I have already applied for " evaluation comparative des etudes....." and after 8 months I received the result. It will be useful in Quebec when applying to a job to calculate ur wages, as it will tell you what is your equivalence in Quebec ( Bsc, Msc,etc). Also in case you wanted to continue further education at a quebec university. However, it will not give you the right to exercise a profession, even if you have an accepted Msc.

My case, I have a Bsc in engineering from Syria, and a Msc from France, so my evaluation result is " equivalent maitrise du 2e cycle universitaire obtenu", so i could continue for a PhD in quebec, however, despite an accepted equivalent Msc in Quebec, i still have to apply for OIQ ( ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec) to obtain the profession permit. (totally different process).

Exactly, where you have to do some exams and it will take more time. I think you can apply for OIQ once you land in Quebec, it will be easier

Actually, applying for OIQ is also a long process ( 10 months), so it's better to apply from now, rather than waiting once in Quebec.
I did it too, and my result is to take 3 exams of university subjects ( Bsc level), which is easy... but they give you a limit of 1.5 years or so to take the exams, 2 sessions a year.
I already missed some ( never thought waiting for the visa would take 3 years), so i only have one more open session for me in 2014.
P.S:I'm a material science and metallurgy engineer.
