Dear Csaade & Canadian_Citizen

thanks alot for your valuable information .. that's very kind and sweet from your side ...
I got ppr in 2011 and they returned back my pass without a visa issuance for further processing .. then damascus closed and med expired .... I redid medical before 5 months with a clear background checks ...
they said the med results are still in france? And when they enclose it to the file I will get ppr ....... Is that reasonable that med results stay in france for 5 months

all Canadian VO in Europe are operating on "reduced" staff because of the strike...so they are doing the bare minimum. So you have to expect some delays but I am sure it will get sorted out in the next couple of months.

I totally agree with your answer, it's so reasonable .... hopefully,,,, this nightmare will be ended soon,, and get the ppr again

I did my medical in KSA and they sent the results to England.
It might not be the medical that's delaying the ppr, it might be the security check as usual. They take allllll their time with it

London vo is for federal fo gulf residents, maybe thats the reason your medical was sent to England

Intial/canadian do you know where medical sent?

yes , i did medical in Turkey , the doctor told me that they will send it to France , then they will send it to England , actually he wasn't clear , when i asked him about the destination.
after few days an officer from embassy called me and asked me if i did medical or not and when and where .
after that i called the Secretary , she told me that the medical will arrive in few days
and when i explain to my consultant , she said that the Doctor will not give you the Waybill of the shipment because they are now submitting more and more results by email
i think due to a strike , there is something unclear :-\ :'(

It doesn't really matter where they are sent as long as they are received by the VO that is processing the applications.

Which address we have to send CSQ application before 31 july from saudi arabia.
is there any difference b/w countries to apply .
we on vacation in Pakistan which address we should send application from saudia or pakistan
plz provide link for address
regards

I sent an email to the Canadian embassy in Amman to ask about my file, because it's been a long time since I've heard anything from them, and a miracle happened... they answered!!!... this is how desperate I'm for being happy for a short empty worthless answer from the embassy, it was very uninformative answer, here you are:

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2010/10/18.

When should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce
• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number)
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual
• Decision to withdraw your application

So it's more a "don't write us, we will contact you" answer... but the good thing is that they answered in 9 days, which is ,as a matter of fact, very unusual...

let's keep the spirit up, and hope for the best.

any one living in Ammman can get some information a bout files ,can reach one of the staff there by any one
one to one to one

Okay Guys ;D, Here we go, I have found some valuable info about the Urgent processing of permanent resident card:

If your travel date is more than three weeks away:

1-Fill out the application as shown in applying for a permanent resident card.

2-Include a photocopy of your proof of travel and proof of payment with your application.

The proof of travel, such as tickets or an itinerary, must show:

the dates you will be traveling,
your personal information such as your full name, and
your destination (where you are going).
The proof of payment can be part or full price for your travel. It must show:

the date that you paid,
the amount paid, and
how you paid.
If you do not send all this information, we may not process your application urgently. We will process it normally.

3-On your envelope, write:

Urgent — Proof of travel included
Next Steps: Within 10 business days, you can check the status of your application online.

Check the link below for more details:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-urgent-processing-not-submitted.asp

It seems they will be able to do it with a 3 weeks period !!!

This is for people who are living in Canada and are permanent residents not citizens and need to renew their pr card before they travel, to be able to come into Canada.

depends which embassy she works for and how willing she is to help.

My fiance's brother was friends with the canadian consulate to Beirut, and he didn't help at all.

So its you and your luck...doesn't hurt to try. However, you just received your AOR...your still in the processing times shown on the cic website.
