NEVER EVER do such a thing .. i know one case for someone who lives in Quebec for years and got good job in ontario, as soon as he applied and they new from tax number he got mail of intention to get refused immediately ..

Never do that !

That's what I mean...I wouldn't take the risk. I know a few people who spent a few months in Quebec and they moved to Ontario without any problems. As a permanent resident you have the right to move anywhere you want in Canada. However, you have to show intent that you did every thing you can to settle in Quebec. So as long as you can prove you tried your best, they can't kick you out. They can however, if you do it right after you land because it will be very obvious. Also, you can't just move without informing the government, you have to change all your papers, health card, driver licence and I think you only have 7 days to do so. I called immigration Quebec with this question, and that's the answer I got. He also mentioned it takes about 2-3 months to receive the card by mail.

I'm not saying fool the system, I am saying if someone truly tries and can't seem to get a job in Quebec, than you have the right to move anywhere you want in Canada. That's all I am saying.

wdOnCanada, initial, OsamaR : Thank you guys :)

mft25, lemans207: They started processing my application on April 11, 2010. Then transferred my application to Amman office on February 21, 2012. (I'm Syrian)

mike_mike: Thanks :)

In general and as my lawyer advised...they asked me all these papers just to make sure that during that time between 2010 and now : I didn't get married, or had children...or maybe committed a crime :o

I know it's a headache but I will stay positive doing them...I have no choice! At least it's a sign that our files are moving! They're not DEAD!

hey all
this is the third time that i post the same question without any single answer.
i thought the forum is to help each other out, i guess i will give it a shot for the last time.

i received my csq a month ago then i sent my federal application to Nova Scotia-Canada about a week ago.
now, does they send me an email or something to confirm that they received my application and what are the next steps?
how much time should i wait to know if they have received my federal file?
thank you.
