Something weird just happened...I logged on to E-case using the UNI..because the B # wasn't working. It says the file was transferred to Bucharest on February 22, 2012. They removed the Beirut transferred which was also on Feb. 22, 2012. Could it be that our file was sitting in Bucharest this entire time? Or is it a mistake?

In canadian_citizen's case, the medical were received and she was informed about the file transfer, this is why it showed on e-cas that the file has been transferred. The date of transfer doesn't matter, the important thing is that now she's aware where the file is...

It is good there is some activity on your e-CAS status, mine is still Application Received sine more than 2 years... No updates since then...

We should all be patient... I am positive that as of May everyone will start receiving updates, whether the files stay in Beirut or get transferred. The embassy is not willing to do the same mistake with the backlog, they have till the end of July to finalize as much as they can. we'll see how things will be as of tomorrow

Why do they have until end of July to finalize as much as they can of the files?

Because in July they are opening the immigration process again. It was supposed to be in May but was pushed back. So no new applicants until July. So because of the backlog they put the immigration process on hold to get through the backlog.
