guys my timeline was as follows:

- applied on april 2009 through damascus office
- interview done in abudhabi oct 2009
- federal sent in january 2010
- medical requested in january 2012 before they sent my application to beirut in february 2012 due to the bad situation in syria
- medical exam done in march 2012
- visa requested in january 2013
- visa received in one day on 14th february 2013.

please note that because my medical exam expires in march 2013 they gave me an extension period due to my condition (i'm still working and need some time to settle all my issues ( work, financials..etc)
my csq is expired but still i dont have any problem cause they have provided me some official papers to present it when i reach there.
i was among the first to receive this type of visa since long time ago.
all type of visas that were provided on that day were either spouse / husband sponsorship or family visa.

good luck to everyone

Thanks a lot for your valuable information... Hope we all will get our visas soon ... The medical were requested from damascus and that what made your application faster.. Things seem very slow for CSQ applicants especially in Beirut... Hope things will be changed for us as we are on the bottom of the list , CSQ applicants have the lowest priority.

yes it seems that QSW applicants have the lowest priority these days

I congratulate you. I really appreciate sharing your information, that's very kind from your side.. Really you gave us a very useful information and you gave us a push. I hope you will have a very successful start in Quebec and then hopefully you'll make all your wishes come true..

guys wkassir is different case, he is abu dhabi visa office, nothing applied on you. also someone else here, he got so fast,

all who had interview in abu dhabi ,

but hope it will go faster

3 days ago marked 3 years in the wait for medicals....

dear Lemans207

i'm a Quebec applicant from Damascus but when it came to the interview i had two choices either abudhabi or damascus so i chose abudhabi for no special reason maybe because i work in saudi arabia so i found it easier to get there ( situation was very normal in syria at that time).

i dont think the interview makes difference whether it is in abudhabi or damascus.

Regards

The wheel should be running, and even running very fast for those who their applications have been 3 years in process or more. Things seem better than last year . hope 2013 will be good for all of us.

i live in abu dhabi and i am damacus applicant, abu dhabi visa office is the main for all gulf countries,
all my friends who done there interview in abu dhabi got their visa, but there was delay b4.

after you get CSQ, your visa office is abu dhabi, but for lebanon maybe its beirut.

how do you Get to know that your medical was sent ? Do they email you to confirm that the medical was sent? Do they update the processing to "medical sent" ?
Or we just wait for a mail from libanpost ? Does it happen that liban post lost a medical?
Thanks
