I applied in the Federal department on the 18th of October 2010, my file was transferred to Amman on the 21st of February 2012.
I haven't written or called the officer at the embassy to ask about my file for a very long time. I was advised to not do that frequently, It's important for me to not bother them. IF THEY ARE HAPPY AND RELAXED, I'LL BE HAPPY TOO. ))). I may write later in the future when some official news is unveiled... For now everything is perfect.

Hi Moon,

No not yet. I think the update should come mid March. I will call and follow up with them...I just don't want to sound "too pushy" and annoy them...which will make them less reluctent to help out. I'm planning on calling maybe next week, that way I would have given them a chance to call me on their own. I'll keep you posted! Hopefully it's good news.

As for Mike's email from his friend (thanks for the translation)...I don't suggest anyone tries to contact the Visa office unless they have a good reason. If your file is within "normal" processing times, they can't or won't do anything. If it has been longer then yes I would contact them since it says so at the botton of the processing times table.

I am so sad to hear the bad news that you completed one year after the medical exam and your visa has not been issued.
it seems like the wheels are running at the Canadian embassy. I believe that they gonna extend your medical for 3 more months and then they could stamp your visa after 18 March , 2013 when you complete 36 months in process.
