Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

Hello guys, yesterday i met a family coming from Montreal, and they told me that rules were changes for citizenship , and now u have to wait 10 years in order to obtain Canadian passport, and not 3 like before.
So for those who were thinking to stay 3 years , obtain the passport and be back in Gulf to work....forget it !

Are you sure about this news?
Because nothing mentioned about that in the website :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp even this link was updated on 24/04/2012.
And it's clearly mentioned (To become Canadian citizens, adults must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying. Children under the age of 18 do not need to meet this requirement.)

If this news is true we are in real trouble for another 10 years (in case we've landed within a year)
Please confirm this news as we really fed up of rumors.

24 months is the time that they haven't been working on our applications... I dare anyone to show me that he/she got her visa in 24 months from Damascus VO

Hello Fadi, of course i am not sure...but this family just came to visit relatives, and last week the lady deposited her papers for citizenship and she was telling she was lucky couse a new law will be released now and it will take 10 years..Let's wait and see

But guys they must update all table, our visa will not be proceeded from Damascus, Lebanon will be responsible only for Lebanese people. Countries like Pakistan, UAE, Kuweit,Saudia Arabia will be proceeded from LONDON office. Syria from Amman.
So how many Lebanese u think are waiting ???? I think things will move fast after they start working with our files.

Do we have to wait until the delivery ?
Or she can do the medical test through Pregnancy ?

Toutefois nous pouvons vous signifier que nous pouvons uniquement renouveler des CSQ après leur date d'expiration, et ce seulement si une demande a été déposé au gouvernement fédéral à Immigration Canada.

FOR Caips.ca payments:
Western Union among requesting info via email, so you need to email them explaining that you cant use PayPal.

I suggest you go do the test but first it is Absolutely important to tell the doctor that your wife is pregnant to prevent her from X-rays

Fadi first of all MABROUK for ur baby..and i am afraid yes u'll have to wait for delivery, couse u're wife must pass X-rays tests that are not allowed in pregnancy...

yep, you are right ricoluna! therefore i'm waiting from 18 months to get the MR and do it to let myself pregnant :'(
and i'm so fed up waiting 26 months of waiting and this killed me!!
