thx alot for replying maybe u r right i read about the taxes w ino fi two in quebec (federal w provincial ) w yes im so worried about the medical system in quebec w ino fi ktir na2es w zt u have to wait sometimes about one year to have a family doctor gher l waiting in the emergency rooms for hours and hours (nihna b lebnen b ne3meh concerning the medical issue ino we can consult 3 doctors in one day if we want! bas akid l fare2 ino hon we pay honik its free bas u pay by spending time waiting..) kilo fi hasanet w saye2et akid im trying to see what suits us best as family w hasab wen l saye2at l fina nit2aklam ma3a hiye l 2ousa kila 3adeh w to have open mind to the changes we will face.
we dont have language problem we know french and english and can communicate easily in both even my son speaks french fluently and basic english. do u recommend us to try our luck in montreal or to go directly to toronto after landing? and not waste our time in montreal? time is a great factor for us cs we are planning to have another kid soon w ma badna nitna2al ktir awal fatra so what u and others who already settled in canada advise us to do? thxxx

If you move immediately to another province after landing in Quebec then you'll be jeopardizing the "intend to reside in Quebec" paper that you signed... Give yourself some time before moving to another province.

Toronto is great but it is not too recommended for families

My friend did his medical in July 2013. It expired this year but still, he received the ppr in August 2014 and his visa is valid till July 2015, it took only 2 days to stamp his visa in beirut. He didn't redo his medical, it was extended for another year

We did the medical today at risk with Dr. Stephan. They told us to come back on Tuesday 30 to fill the questionnaire with the Dr.
Then what? What happens? Do they send the medicals or us... please a little explanation... coz am soooooooo excited ;D

hope everyone will get his ppr very soon, its extreme hard, very hard especially in the current situation (god protect you all)....
i have been in Montreal more than one month, did work interview with many many companies, until i selected what suits me. guess what! you can find plenty of work opportunities in here and there are English opportunities french opportunities and majority of companies need both.
it only needs patience, and you need to keep trying, it takes research and uploading your cv in good sites, good luck everyone!

after receiving my CSQ I submitted the federal application last saturday and they received it since 25-09-2014 to Sydney Nova Scotia (my visa office is: Abou Dhabi)
I have some questions
how long it will take to receive the AOR?
how long normally it takes in Abou Dhabi office to get the visa?

my wife she's pregnant and she should deliver end of Feb 2015 or beginning of March 2015
how long it takes to receive the CSQ for the new born ?
does that will delay my federal application and for how long?

I want to ask a question I hope u won't consider it silly, in case we got our visa and my husband wants to take the money let us say 15000$, do u hold them cash with u all the trip or is their a safer way coz he is worried, and yessss 15000$ according to us is a lot,and how do people take their stuff or do they leave everything behind when they immigrate,,wallaaa ma 3arfe shi min shi plzz help, am so confused...

about the medical, the dr send everything, don't worry, just ask for a receipt to prove u done the meds.

u can take as much as u want. u just need to declare . it is safe, just be careful.there are pockets u can put under the clothes. u can take cash and cheque banquaire, note the cheque needs about 20 to 30 days to be cashed to ur account ( the cheque should have the bar codes on the lower part or it will take a more complex procedure and longer time to process).

i took some essential clothes for my kids, some towels, and a pair of jeans.
don't get winter clothes ( kanzet souf ) u just need shirts, the jacket and boots u get it from canada.
i noticed ugg boots are very expensivein canada( 280$) while in leb in sales are less than 70$ .

Hello, well my advice is the following, if you have money 20,000 and less, you hold 10,000 and your husband 10,000 if you have more you do the same and the rest as cheque bancaire.
When you reach canada, first you need each one of you to open bank account and deposit in it your cash money and your chq bancaire, immediately you will be getting debit card and good services like payment order chq book credit card .... Special offer for new immigrants and for free for first 6 months minimum.
Now why you need all this cash? I'll tell you why, simply because you are new in canada, in case you booked in hotel for few days until you find good rent apartment you need minimum credit history means proof that your going to pay your monthly bills on time and you need to prove that you work and have monthly income, and in your case you are new! So what some Canadian do is that they will ask you to pay 2 to 3 months in advance sometimes 4 to guarantee your stay and bills paid.
So yes take cash up to 20,000 in your hands.

What you said is true concerning ugg boots but on other hand i bought my own good quality boots made for snow fur on the inside and water resistant for only 90usd and yes good quality, you have to check several stores and many places before taking the decision.
