Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

a friend of mine told me today that he received an email from the embassy telling him to expect the visa within 60 days, is this a new strategy they follow to update us ? anyone received such an email ?

I emailed the embassy asking about the renewed CSQ and when can I expect to receive a copy, they replied saying that They will receive the extension of the CSQ directly to their office and the system will be updated accordingly.
I guess they're trying not to waste more time by sending it to me and then me sending it to the visa office.

The weather in Ontario was hell during December and it's not getting any better. I had to stay home during the holidays, couldn't leave Ottawa at all. The worst was the freezing rain.

Hope we hear some good news soon.

That's so odd.....2010 applicants haven't received anything!

Misrepresentation:
Other Reqs:

what does that mean? why they didn't start security and background check until now? and why they send me medicals if they don't want to start processing my file

Not sure if your situation is the same, but my fiance's security checks were initiated 3 months after the medicals were sent, which means you're GCMS notes may be out of date already.

Me too i applied for federal in January 2011 and i am still waiting....

Hopefully i expect to receive an answer between March and May this year. According to my lawyer it is 6 to 8 months after the medicals for the visa.

No idea...but everyone keep saying 6-8 months after meds.

Good luck and don't give up.The economy is going down the drain in Montreal. Jobs are being lost at a high rates and people have the choice of being on the unemployement benefit (when you have insurance Canada inviting you to a meeting on how to find a job thanks harper ) you take the student jobs and move on. The student nowaday are being fucked up
