Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

do you have any idea bout the waiting time before Health insurance is valid ? i just saw that in Quebec there is waiting time of 90 days before any insurance is applied !

thats crasy and dangerous if you are not alone, with a wife and children, you maybe pay tens of thousands if you needed any health care..

it was written in a guide book for Quebec that a private health insurance should be made for these 90 days ..

i even made some search for Ontario, and found that it is even worse, 153 days !

and i made search to know if it is only for PR's and found that even Canadaian citizens are also under this rule, and whenever you move from any province to another one that things starts again with you !!

should i make this insurance in my country before i land in Quebec ??!!

am i mistaken in my search ? please tell me ..

Not 1 visa has been granted yet.
Medical insurance is mandatory or else it will cost you a lot to be treated at any clinic or hospital.
I'm using my international medical insurance whenever I go to Ottawa but still there are things I have to pay for, nothing is cheap

Nothing yet from Bucharest.

Insurance isn't mandatory, but it is strongly recommended, in case you get sick and need to see a doctor.

i hear Dr visit or hospital costs 2000$ or stay in hospital, i dont remember, but the officer told me do it b4 you go.

she is born there, we must listen to her advises

i prefer to send the documents with DHL, don't forget to write ur file number and put a copy on their mail in the envelope
after that send them e-mail to inform that u send the all the documents required and write ur DHL track number and tell them that you did the medical exam
they will not reply on you but they will read your mail

Emergency room is different.

A year ago I went on a visit and had the insurance from the travel agency, I paid 60$ for 2 months coverage for 1 person. It's not expensive and it covers up to 50,000$
