Everyone can believe in what they want. The end goal is all the same. However, my research and what the MP told me seem to be the same...that background/security checks are started around the same time as the medical.

This would explain the delay between the medicals and the ppr.

In addition, the new caips notes says backgound checks have not been started or completed yet. Why would they waste their time, money and resources on security checks before issuing the medicals, if there's a chance someone will fail the medical?

My question to you is....how do you know they are preformed before the medical?

Shhhhhhh ;D

Enjoy your life :)

Life cuts like a knife :p

Why ur going so far about canadian security check
Lebanese now very hard to get working visa in gulf

I agree with that, i regret i got a consultant , all what he does is telling lies, and telling the info of the process when it was in its best..

I know someone who spend thousands of $'s on consultants and all he did was print him the forms. The guy had to fill them out himself. It clearly states on the CIC website having a consultant or lawyer will not improve your chances of being accepted. I guess the only thing a consultant is good for, is making sure all correct forms are filled out correctly.

I am talking of a certified immigration lawyer.

You have a lot of consultants but they are not all certified!!!

My friend tried applying through him, but he told him that he does not meet the criteria.

He is very experienced and known for a long time.

According to him, it will take 6 to 8 months to get the PPR after the medicals.

yes consultants can know, because they have lot of cases, so they know how long its taking. thats what i can trust ;)

My consultant is quebec and federal certified, and my friends ones are certified too, but none give realistic expectations, they just try to absorb applicants upset with some lies, like its soon, and wont take much..

Btw one friend of mine received his PPR 2 weeks ago, after 7 months of submitting his medicals to bucharest so hopefully that part gets shorter soon..

So if it's between 6 and 7 months, my fiance shoudl hear something in November/December. The waiting is almost over!

cherif how did your friend send the passpor and got it back ? How long did it take between sending the passport and receiving it ?

yeah hopefully at the end of the year we will all hear the good news. It's not logical to wait more. Let's just keep faith and be cool. I'm just praying no sort of war will happen , because it will be the only reason for further delays.
