Dear you finace E-cas showed in process from a defined date or what? because my e-cas showed in process from 2 August 2013! u have the same date or what??
I Wish that we'll have as soon as possible our PPR!! I will explosed from this waiting! it's killing me

Hi Moon,

No news yet. His e-cas shows they started processing May 6, 2010. So his e-cas wasn't updated with a more current date. We need to wait a little longer and hope it will be all over in the next few months!

Morning guys, i did my medicals yesterday in Khoury Hospital with DR. RAIF JABER, he has EMEDICAL.
Unfortunately for one of my kids they sent the medical request wrong from the embassy, his date of birth instead of 2007 was 2001..from the embasyy they asked XRay and blood tests for my son, but Dr.Jaber refused to do them ( as for children they only request urine test ), he insisted that embassy has to send me a new correct one...and this might take time :-X
Now i don t know if they will start processing my file without the medical exam of my son....but for sure No, as they must be all complete.

they will start the background and security check meanwhile which take the longest part.. so hopefully it is not waste of time..

security check is not as easy as you think, it is not matter of 2 min to look at a black list on their system and then decision made!

i want to share this article with you, i found it somewhere on this website, and it sounds so logic:

Security & Criminality Checks:
A part of the b/ground checks is the 'Security Check'. It commences after our med results are submitted to the CHC. This is a major activity -mainly concerning our 'safe inclusion' into the Canadian Soil; vis-a-vis, Political, Socio-Econmical, Anti-Social disposition, perceived Threat to Canada's integrity etc. This gets us the SDEC, CDEC & SECCRIM.

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services], Prolonged stay in a country w/out sufficient docs to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations, your *Name (?), Inter-Religion/Nationality Marriages etc.

after reading that you can now imagine how long it takes to get done with each of those agencies who i am sure they all have backlogs regarding the too much applicants around the world to many countries not only to canada..

Everyone can believe in what they want. The end goal is all the same. However, my research and what the MP told me seem to be the same...that background/security checks are started around the same time as the medical.

This would explain the delay between the medicals and the ppr.

In addition, the new caips notes says backgound checks have not been started or completed yet. Why would they waste their time, money and resources on security checks before issuing the medicals, if there's a chance someone will fail the medical?

My question to you is....how do you know they are preformed before the medical?

That used to be, but not anymore, current practice is medicals and security starting at the same time, new GCSM notes show that clearly..
