Dear Fadi

it seems so dry, I've heard that they are still organizing the files in Beirut, so no ppr will be issued before June ... and I reckon the Medicals as well....

so try to adapt with this laziness, carelessness and uninteresting ... it's 6 month delay to the regular average 22 months of waiting ... so it becomes 28 months

hope this situation will gonna be changed soon ... all the best to you Guys (Quebec Applicants) .

Dear all,

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I just received some information that all the files in our region are on hold till further notice, meaning they are not working on them no matter what class type etc.. m afraid this time i won't be able to raise your spirits nor induce optimism on this thread.
From what we seen so far of the latest changes I can see a pattern:
(this is in consideration of the Federal phase only and not the current CSQ phase, we already past that phase)

1- (2012) new Laws and conditions for immigration effective 2013
2- old applications following the old laws and conditions in process.
3- (2012) Slashing applications prior to 2008
4- applications prior to 2010 placed on hold
5- (2013-2014) Slashing applications prior to 2010

N.B by no means the #5 is real news, it is just a logical pattern that m seeing after having read several articles regarding how much the CIC and canadian gov are encouraging the new immigration laws, they want out of the backlogs asap and moreover to have most applicants if not all going under the new immigration laws. I got the impression of #5 when I asked myself: why put us on hold now right before the finish line if they are not intending to slash us by next year?


again I am really sorry for having to share this but if you want my opinion then get started on plan B this year, start checking other options during this "on hold period" that will be followed by another "wait period" and by the time they (politicians) are done with their PMS (sorry ladies, no offense) you would have at least gotten yourself some solid ground no matter what the CIC outcome will be (rather refund us or grant us PR) , no sense of waiting.

my sis in canada from 13 years and she worked in the gov, i know from here there is a highly need for people in quebec and if no quebec will not hesitate to take the same step as Federal and slash all the backlog!! seriously dont hear to anyone because they just talking (w bel lebneni kellou bi hal balad bi7eb yhabbet 7ittan 3a kellou...coz ma 7adan really bi7eb lkheir la 7ada)

the information is legitimate , Jet give your lawyer a call and ask if him/her are taking new cases without mentioning what you just read, if you notice hesitation or the famous "euh- umm - etc" push the limits a bit till you get to a point where you can ask him/her "why?", if any of the previous does not work then go straight to the point about the "on hold" without mentioning the source, let us know your findings.

Moon I am as much upset as you are but know that I am skeptic about anything that starts with Leb, if it weren't from a legal source i wouldn't have mentioned it and if the source is wrong then I am being robbed just like all the Legit services in this country usually do.
YMA got his meds right after the transfer because his background check and screening were already finalized in Damascus.

I've learnt from my previous experience about Canada to expect the unexpected ...
I want to ask you, does that #5 applicable to QSW?
for what I understood from you is that my file is already on hold right now as the applications prior to 2010 placed on hold
I got my QSW in 2008 and my application filed in 2008 ... medical expired in March 2012 ... and nothing new since the closing of Damascus office.

I applied in 2006 for QSW and I am really sad of those 6 years of waiting ... I am not sad about Canada , I am sad about the opportunities that I wasted because of CANADA.

Until today i haven't heard anything about the medicals i have done, it is been a month an 15 days. NO NEWS. I donno if this is normal. they have said b4 that it takes from 1 to 2 months to request the passport.

I got ppr before 8 months .. I forwarded my passport and they returned it without a visa issued on it and I still I don't know the reason and my medicals has expired... so good luck but expect the unexpected
I just want to know if these amendments of the law concerning Quebec and Federal would be taken into action or not ...

what I am gonna do is to writ a mandamus ( your application would be finalized in 3 months)... anyone wanna do the same ????
