Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

Well everyone says it's 2-3 months after the medicals. However, a lot of visa offices are on strike right now, and I am not sure if Bucharest is one of them. So the CIC website says to expect delays. Hopefully we are not affected and if we are, that they resolve the situation as soon as possible!

But the end is near! We waited 3 years, what's another 5 months? hehe

did u get any news from ur MP ? do u think he can do much for ur fiance's case ? and what exactly does the MP looks for or asks for? does he contact the CIC overthere ?

My next update is in Sept. I don't know if it's the reason my fiance got his medical, but the MP never told us he can impact the file. He just said that sometimes when they inquire, this can speed things up, since the officer already has the file open to give the update, so they may choose to view it and send it to the next stage. So it's really up to the officer. The MP contacts the VO in Beirut (now Bucharest) and is able to tell me when the file will be viewed, what stage it's at, and things like that. The last 2 updates (6 months apart) I was told my fiance's file will be finalized in August. So we will see, I have a feeling it will be Sept/Oct.

i believe the initial 60 days ,the embassy give for the documents update and landing fee and medical test ,are fixed where they don't touch your dossier wtever fast you do gather and collect the documents.when the 60 days do pass so the file is scheduled for examining if you collected everything they asked for along with medical exam. it is about 4-8 week they will clear for visa to be issued. so right yes in august your friend might hear something.

I got info from someone, that files are being transferred from abu dhabi VO to London VO

so same story as Lebanon

please note that my first medical has expired.. they requested me to redo the medical 4 months ago with no stated time permitted to redo this medical ..

Did they lose your second set of medicals? and they admitted to it? If that's the reply you got from them, ask them if you're able to redo the medicals for the third time without another request from them. Can you ask the doctor to re-send your results to them?

I don't wanna add my timeline before asking if it's ok with you, since I'm a Federal skilled worker applicant and I don't want to confuse things but I'm kinda desperate and I cannot find any Lebanese who applied for federal, not online and not on a personal level. All I received from the embassy is: "your application is in queue for assessment by an officer. No further action is required by you at this time".

Does anyone know anything at all about Lebanese federal applications timeline?

I am a federal skilled worker with AEO for noc 7241- Electrician.

They received my federal application on January 30 2012 in CIO (nova scotia)

I've received an email that my application has received a positive review and my file has been transferred to my local office on June 5 2012.

I've ordered gcms/caips notes in November and that's how I knew that my application reached the Lebanese embassy in July:

We appreciate very much your understanding regarding delays caused by the closure of the Damascus office and the relocation of the work.

Thank you for your patience, "

hey all
this is the third time that i post the same question without any single answer.
i thought the forum is to help each other out, i guess i will give it a shot for the last time.

i received my csq a month ago then i sent my federal application to Nova Scotia-Canada about a week ago.
now, does they send me an email or something to confirm that they received my application and what are the next steps?
how much time should i wait to know if they have received my federal file?
