Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

In case I don't hear anything by mid August I should contact them for a follow up. I guess I should be receiving the medical very soon...
I was also informed that the processing time mentioned doesn't apply to us(the 14 months)

Nope but I'm sure it's a matter of 10-12 weeks, maybe less. We'll know from your fiancé's case I guess
I didn't believe I'll receive so many updates with 1 inquiry. What's weird though is that I knew about the file transfer from the mp and not from the embassy itself

I think they notify of the file transfer at the same time as the document update/medical e-mails...it saves them time and a step I guess. It seems all Beirut files are now in Bucharest....except maybe the very new ones.

pretty sure it will run faster...in their e-mail it says "no more delays"...then it says "do not contact us for the next 8 months, as we will be busy processing files"...I choose to believe the first one lol

Btw, I got some extra info that Abu Dhabi visa office is starting to have backlogs

yeah they have backlogs , it shows 40 months now, but maybe the will finish it fast

Guys! 3 weeks ago an email was sent from my side VO Beirut notifying them an address changement... a reply was sent to me asking for more info about me as the principal sole applicant in order to locate my file and execute needed changement... today i received a reply from VO Bucharest confiming address modification and that they will sent a mail to me in of further info needed... so i replied mentioning the following:


Cher/e Monsieur / Madame,
Merci pour votre réponse.
Avec le transfert des dossiers de Damas aux différents buereaux des visas, j'ai de la difficulté d'estimer le temps de procédures. Prière nous confirmer le temps de procédures qui s'applique sur ce dossier? Est-ce celui indiqué sur le logiciel du CIC pour Bucarest; 14 mois? Si oui, prière nous confirmer le temps d'attente restant pour finalizer ce dossier.
Votre réponse m'aidera de s'organiser en conséquence.

The file number has been changed

I guess that's great news!!! My file is in Bucharest and the bfd will be in the coming few weeks

Bring forward date is June 29, meaning the vo will be seeing my file on this date to issue the medical. And in case I don't hear anything my mid August then I should do another follow up with them. I'm positive that your file has been also transferred but they'll send everything in 1 email, transferring the file and issuing the medical...

one question is it still showing on the online file status on the CIC that the file is transferred to beirut on 22 feb 2012 !!!
they didn't mention the Bucharest move ? true !!

I'm using another file number now and it shows application for permanent residence has been received on November 3,2010. It doesn't show the transfer thingy anymore. Plus they asked me to send all my inquiries to the Bucharest office as of today... The 14 months processing time doesn't concern us

they must increase their staff, they must do something,, only our applications pending,, there are no new applications to Quebec.
Specially the embassy that works on Federal Quebec applicant doesnt work on Federal applicants.
i.e. abu dhabi vo responsible for federal Quebec , for applicants from Gulf
london vo responsible for federal , for applicants from Gulf

and for sure application from gulf are few comparing to beirut

BFD is set by canada office ? or by visa office once transferred to the embassy?

So we can track the dely from embassy or not.

Its like in embassy they have excel sheet called BFD. every morning they open it and check the files they wana work on it.

CSAADE, thank you for ur concern... but I already reviewed ur posts and as i see ur timeline is around 6 months earlier than mine and my file B0596***** a bit far from urs... so i found useful to share with u my correspondence with the VO of Beirut then Bucharest so anyone who's near or in the same timeline would be aware of anything new.
Hope u'll hear soon from Bucharest...!!!

Hey guys,

Just a little update. I will be landing in Montreal on July 1st. I was busy these past few months with wrapping up work, saving up money and trying to get everything in order for the move. I will let you know how the landing process and everything that follows goes.
