Just read the info well, we can share it, most of us IT here,

you download the application & send it to new zealand for free.

If you score 140+ points, they will send you in 3 months invitation to apply for citizenship

then you get the immigration visa and land

very simple ;)

To good to be true. Maybe they will kidnap us, kill us, and sell our organs :P. Anyway my occupation is not listed there I will stick to the old Canadian application that will probably never come

I was saying IT & Media & Biotechnology

Dear All,

I really appreciate your support and help.
@ Lemans, Thanks for the information, you should support us not demotivate us; it's our big step toward better life..... Thanks for telling me about your friend who's looking to share with someone, but we are looking for our own place without sharing
@ Osama & Jet, the info you posted so helpful, thanks

Guys, it seems that some of you are very afraid of facing the future, let me brief you about our plan as it might help lots of you:

Before we have even decided to lodge our initial CSQ application, myself & my girlfriend have put complete plan from day 1 till 5 years were we can rent apartment, have enough expenses, go to college, even buy car if we please without any need to earn any further income from working.
So we started saving – as we both earning good money in Qatar – and managed to come up with couple of hundred thousand Canadian Dollars.
- We will land to Montreal 26.08.2012, I will find place for my G/F to stay and I will return to Qatar in 14 days to continue working. Meanwhile, I will be looking for our permanent house where we are going to stay for the rest of our time in Canada – we will buy house or apartment
- I will be visiting – entering – Canada every 6 months to maintain my PR. My G/F who's her mother tongue is Romanian / French will be looking for job and start working, it wouldn't be hard as her sister in law found job within 2 months of landing when she got there last June 2011.
- Upon completion of contract in Qatar, I will be leaving directly to Canada and enrolling myself in Concordia University to get my Master degree then my PHD – Hopefully. I don't have to work neither I need that.
- Upon completion my study, I will have my French Language improved, I will have educational qualification from Canada to support me getting an excellent job.
Just think forward and positive before taking any step. Wish us the luck
Mef

Thank you leman for such info ...
But from my side .. Well I prefer to wait my canadian immigration process ..
@ least I have some friends there and some info on our new land (hopefully) ..
Peace ;D

I just filled the application, I will send it tonight by ARAMEX.
The point how New Zealand treats and respects us.

You apply & within 6-8 weeks if your accepted they invite you to apply for citizenship ;D
Then 4-6 months you land

Now you and us, we will wait 10-12 months minimum for interview then 2-3 years for medical :o

Yes you're absolutely right man ...
But waiting for your immigration may take time because of the huge amount of applications from around the world each second .. That's not mean that they don't respect us ...
But I agree with you it is very very hard to wait ...
But generally even with the whole process, I think this is still very good comparing to american citizenship, after all this is immigration ;)
My advice don't loose faith .. it will come soon or late ..
Peace.

News Zealand is good, but what about job market there ? is there any welfare or child benefits in the case you can not find a job?

I read they will give you visa not PR, and you need 5 years there to get citizenship, am I right?

the visa = pr and after 3 years you get passport or 5 years, not sure, but why do you bother for passport, in canada also taking 4-6 years they delay it like our interviews ;D

lot of jobs there too,

Re: Our Landing Experience

Dear All,
What an experience ……. Landing is just landing: relief of job stress, weather stress… any stress... it’s you, just you and your family.
Yes, we have landed 26th August 2012, 2 pm at Montreal International Airport, Police were so kind and friendly, every word with welcome to Quebec.
Process of landing has been completed within 2 hours; all of our accompanying stuff were listed on A4 size paper and provided to police …. It made our life so easy. They didn’t even check the content of our luggage.
We declared that we have more than CAD 10,000 $ and passed out so quickly. Taxi to Avenue Du Park Hotel, and the journey has started.
I advise all to take a small hotel and look for your apartment easily.
On the 2nd September (5 days from landing) we managed to get our apartment, apply for ID Cards (at the airport upon landing), apply for Social Insurance Number, Health Insurance and open bank account with HSBC.
Guys, life is amazing, smooth and healthy weather, people are jogging and cycling everywhere, stores, malls, life full of energy.
It’s expensive, but not for non-smokers…… I smoke Davidoff Light that costs me in Qatar 2$ but in Canada – Montreal it costs 9.3 $, imagine the difference… I have to quit soon.
So, choose an area and look for an apartment is the easy way, go away a bit of the downtown and experience low rates …… don’t head to the crowded areas never.
I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate all those who have applied to immigrate to Canada – Quebec and tell them that they had the biggest right step ever, don’t listen to rumors and bull shits – excuse my language – around and keep going. You are on the right track……… if you have any questions regarding landing, please don’t hesitate to write to us and we will help as much as possible.
Wish you all the luck
Mefleh & Viorica

Thanks for sharing the info Mef.
+1 for you. Did Immigration officer asked you any question? If you can let us know how did you search for apartments, that would be great.
Wish you all the best for your life in Montreal.
