Yes we have lodged our PR Application to Canada Embassy Abu Dhabi last month on 20/12/201.

Yeah, it took me 2 months to get my Police Clearance from Jordan, I have requested for it from Qatar and should have arrived within 3 weeks max but the Jordan Authorities sent it to KSA - Jeddah (Jordan Embassy) by mistake instead of sending it to Jordan Embassy in Doha - Qatar, it took them 2 months to return it to Doha and that's why i was little late and the gap of 2 months.

Documents required:
- Application KIT available online - SIGNED
- Passport copies
- 4 photos each as required
- Birth certificates
- Police clearances from Country of residence, homeland, and any country that we lived in for longer than 12 months
- Bank Draft CAD 1,100.00
- All above copies only excluding Police Clearances.

J'ai interviewé à Damas le mois prochain.
Je veux montrer à quel point j'aime le Québec et j'ai essayé. :

J'ai déjà envoyé un CV à certaines entreprises, mais ils ne sont pas des réponses à mes questions.
Et je veux que quelques faux-pas possible, je voudrais votre avis sur la structure de la lettre I (CV) à titre d'exemple, comment dois-je commencer? Et par-dessus tous les problèmes, éviter les erreurs.

Dont worry at all.
just print and record all of your correspondents with the companies you have sent your CV ... show them to officer and prove her/him that you are able to recognize potential job oppurtunities in Canada and you are a person who is able to take care of yourself in Canada.
normally employers specially in current employment conditions are not interested to focus on foreign candidates which still have not arrived to Canada and your officer knows this well. you can add that you have applied for a job in .... companies but unfortunaltely they have not replied you yet/

I had suits but i read in many immigration places which they are many people accepted waering jeans and even trainee adidas shoes during their interview from african countries.

so be semi official to official could be ok i think

I am filling the form IMM0008 (application for permanent visa) today and in the second page they are asking for family information.

I am totally single but I saw some people who were giving their father, mother, sister information on this page. what did you do? please advice

I am in same spot and have been trying to find out if my file ever made it there, sent it in on 5th of October, 2010, so it has been over 3 months now. I also recently sent an email to the Damascus office email address but there was an automated reply and it indicated that they do not respond to inquiries by email. I am not sure what to do.

It takes 2-3 months, so it's ok for you, just be patient.

i have passed the interview with jeans and t shirt it doesnt matter the most important thing is that to be reliable they surely can recognize somenoe thet never were suits or cravate before comming here

Hi Kia,

I and my wife started a French language course form French embassy institute. I think we got a very good teacher. In last three classes we learned many sentences and French words. The pronunciation of French is really a challenge, especially words with 'tr' and 'dr'.

In my application I mentioned two PG degrees. Both I completed from UK universities. One was Online from UoW. Degree was not available with me at the time of application submission to Damas. I did receive the degree few weeks ago.

I am still waiting documents update from Damas office. Should I update my file again with new documents or should I wait for first update confirmation?

U should wait for your AOR...you will get ur file no. in this AOR...once u get it then u can always update the documents mentioning ur file no.

Proof of a relationship in Canada ...

This is a section of our application for permanent resident visa in form no. imm00008 and its checklist.

OK everybody I have a question you may know the answer:

I have an aunt (sister of my mother) living in Canada and she is a citizen but she is from the first wife of my grandfather who died before my grandfather marry with my grandmother (life story) ...

Any way do think my aunt can be a relationship who increases my application score?

This may be a case ... to share ideas in thread now ...

Any news on your front?

U should wait for your AOR...you will get ur file no. in this AOR...once u get it then u can always update the documents mentioning ur file no.

Thanks for reply. I already had received my AOR and file number. I updated my documents in November 2010. I used my file number visibly in my cover letter as well as top of the envelop. I did not receive confirmation for document update. My question was should I send another update without waiting confirmation for first update.

Good news. I am glad to read that you receive AOR.

I received AOR in OCT 2010. They asked to resubmit a form and an experience letter. I sent both documents in Nov 2010 and till date waiting for document confirmation.
