I applied before the new rules. The new rules started taking effect for December 2011 applicants but I applied in November 2011.

So do you think I will be treated as an old applicant??

but i know before 2002 leberal party, 1990s it was too easy for lebanese to get CSQ when Parti Quebecois was there in 1996 ;D

In my opinion ... The new rules will affect you buddy, because it doesn't matter when you sent your application, but when the canadian embassy open your file and give you a file number (when it is complete) ... Unfortunately ..
I sent my application on December 2010, on July 2011 I received a file number but to proceed my file I should've send a new check with 5 dollars extra (395$ instead of 390$), because the fees have raised from 1st of January 2011 : ;D ....

WOOW 5 years stayed in montreal and returned back here ...!! I think there was a major change happen to do that ....
But how come u lived 5 years there in daily contact with phrancophone culture, french people, restaurants, transport etc .... and u didn't catch that ....!!!

ANW work hard on ur french cz i agree with lemans .. u have a hard work with convincing the interviewer with that ....

Oufffff tired from the release of the new rules ... I hope that we will finish asap from this whole process and get our CSQ ... because we r living afraid always from the new changes which can affect us somehow in a bad way ....

Its because Montreal is bilingual city. And there r 2 huge and famous English universities in downtown where everyone just speaks English. U want have any difficulty speaking English anywhere in Montreal. .

Experts, do i send an update to my file now (TCFQ + Taxes) to get the chances to be waived or it's better to show the papers in the interview directly?

no waive, i found the waive is first 2-3 months, instead of AOR you get CSQ ;D
Some applicants get invitation for interview after few weeks, not rule 6 months

for me,take it with you better, no enough time

We might all have interview togather same week, probably could ne january mission

To all other applicants, 2011/2012 be ready, its moving fast as before delay crises ;D

Its because Montreal is bilingual city. And there r 2 huge and famous English universities in downtown where everyone just speaks English. U want have any difficulty speaking English anywhere in Montreal. .

Yes agree with you OsamaR 100%, yesterday I was whatsapping with my friend there in Montreal, and he told me about that ...
Quebec now is going more and more into Anglophone ... and there are some places that they don't use ever the French language, and I think this is the main reason of the new restrictions of the French language ... They want immigrants to stay in Quebec, speak French (process of "back to the roots") ...
And in our Profession Fields (computer science + IT ..) there are big companies (like altar) .. where the english language is the dominant ... :
Now regarding universities, I thought in Montreal there are three french universities (HEC, UDM and UQAM) and three english universities (Mcgill, concordia and Sherbrook) .. : ;D ... right ??!!
ANW, concentrate on your French .. If you have the basic, you won't have any problem to proceed with the rest ...

No thats completely wrong,
only Montreal downtown, because lot of international students, Quebec ppl help students and talk in english when they find you dont know french , google it , 80$ for quebec people dont know english at all

by the way, pauline marois was today on TV5 talk show, the lady getting lot of support from france something going undertable
but just came to tell you thunder that youll get email on November for waiting list

But Ive heard that people with low profile get email waiting list

You cannot be waived after two years of waiting and especially after receiving your waiting list email, this won't change now ..
But who cares, now you have more than 55 points in your pocket, take the TCF test and everything else with you .. and you'll see man it's piece of cake for you ...

I think each month they are passing 1000 applicants … really they are now moving very fast …
But I don’t think there won’t be January missions … they have to rush and finish all old applicants .. to start new interviews with new rules and new applicants etc …

mmmm ... Yes maybe you are right with that man, but I don't think the percentage is that high as they are mentioning it within the net ... Upon my friend, taxi drivers only talk in French ;D hahahah .. but in companies they are using english and French ... But in all government section ... yes you're right they are stick to their maternelle French language ;D ...
But you know in that more than I do, cz you're following the canadian news in close ;D
Yes I think too that I may get my invitation waiting list in November .. I hope so ...
