I appreciate your pointed reply ThunderBird11 :)
You are fully right and convinced me well.
So... do you have any idea about reserving a baby sitter in Hilton Para-ska IST. while the interview!
Regards,
Mero...
No problem Eng.Mero ....
But regarding a baby sitter in Turkey, I'm sorry but I don't have any idea about that (I'm still single ;D hehe) ..
BUt I agree with Maria_Sal, it is preferable that u leave ur child in your home country and drop the idea of moving him with you to Turkey ...
It is safer ;) :D
Best Of Luck ..

Hey Maria_Sal, this is really impressive you are 1 year far away from our application, and the gap between our file numbers is only about 10.000 !! ;) ;)
It seems that 2011 was a tough year for new applicants affected by the new rules, which reduce the number for sure ..
ANW gd luck with your process ..

To be honest Maria_Sal, you should've start 5-6 month ago preparing and learning French ;), especially the major changes in immigration happened during your period ::)...
So you know now that applicants are refused during interviews in lots of numbers, and that wouldn't happen 3-4 years ago ...
Rules have been changed, you should aware a lot of your French language and take this seriously (16 points only for French) ...
And if you read the latest announcements, you know that the language factor will be raised to 25 for Federal part or maybe more ::), so that's why they are concentrating a lot on young applicants who speak French (the main Quebec language) ...
This is not to afraid you, but to help you reach your destination asap ... :D
Courage :D ;) :D

Hi guys,

What if an applicant knows just the very basic command in french, and he/she scores more than 55 point (as single) / 63 points (as married) before the interview.....

Can he/she still pass the interview???

Has anyone come across such applicant/scenario ?

Hey Osama ...
Before the new rules, very basic commands in French and in some other cases (if the AOT is in priority and the applicant doesn’t know a single French word) would be enough to pass the interview ...
But now and after the new rules, even if the applicant score more than the acquired points he might not get waived, added to might not pass the INTERVIEW …
Cz it’s a simple equation, you don’t know any French, how you could stand for ½ or 1 hour in an interview which is conducted all in French … This is impossible … How will you understand the commands and the required papers , how u are immigrating to a French province and you don’t know French ??!! etc …
In my opinion, you can solve this in two ways :
1st , stay on your basic French commands, but at least start memorizing the sentences of your documents (passport, birth certificate, interview questions + answers etc …) in French.
2nd , since you still have time to get your interview (you r a new applicant), start to improve your French language by taking courses and listen to French music + news etc … and then do the TCF test.
I think this will work ..
Gd luck.

Thank you so very much for your input ThunderBird :)

I applied before the new rules. The new rules started taking effect for December 2011 applicants but I applied in November 2011.

So do you think I will be treated as an old applicant??

In my opinion ... The new rules will affect you buddy, because it doesn't matter when you sent your application, but when the canadian embassy open your file and give you a file number (when it is complete) ... Unfortunately :( ..
I sent my application on December 2010, on July 2011 I received a file number but to proceed my file I should've send a new check with 5 dollars extra (395$ instead of 390$), because the fees have raised from 1st of January 2011 :( ::) ;D ....
Get the point ?? ...
Peace ..
