hello friend, what is this 280 days for?marcomcarneiro said:Hi alemom, happy new year!
Nothing on my side yet. My ~280 days are over or about to, but I'm considering 1-2 weeks delay due to the end of year festivities. Hopefully we'll hear from them soon.
This is in reference to analysis that applicants with APR in March 2016 did and found out that people were getting PPR around 280 days after AOR.LAMPARD said:hello friend, what is this 280 days for?

Hey Prachi,nprachi31 said:Hi All.
Just had few questions..
1. Is it mandatory for PA to land first or dependent can also land without PA
2. What is PA is she and wants to give birth to a child in Canada, I mean after VISA she come to know she is 2-3 months pregnant.. does she need to inform CIC or can land if pregnancy is not visible. I mean if we inform CIC will the delay the process, or she can tell the intention that she wants baby to be born in Canada...
Please let me know... 8)
This is not correct. It's mandatory.unlimited2access said:1. Is it mandatory for PA to land first or dependent can also land without PA

Is that done for all the applications? I read somewhere on these posts that Ottawa VO is fast processing that NS VO. Any personal experience?

Pls Is having a place to stay an added advantage in filling out the accessment formBajanCanadian said:Hi Vince,
Since it is the same UCI number (I was a student as well, then received my post-graduate work permit), I would assume that the processing center will see this in your record.
However, if I were you, I would take the initiative to call the CIC Call center and ask the question. Here is the link which provides the number to call.
cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/call.asp
Follow the steps on the automated response to talk about permanent residence applications. This will put you in touch with a representative who will open your file and answer your question(s).
I find that some reps are more helpful than others. If you do not get a clear answer the first time, then call back a few hours later and you will speak with another representative (this happened to me, and asking a second time worked).
Hope this helps!unlimited2access said:Hey Prachi,

Its not mandatory since the whole family is issued PR but i strongly suggest to land altogether as a family and finish all the formalities. More importantly, land in quebec or montreal only.
2. What is PA is she and wants to give birth to a child in Canada, I mean after VISA she come to know she is 2-3 months pregnant.. does she need to inform CIC or can land if pregnancy is not visible. No not needed, Until a child is born no need to inform the CIC and yes if there is delivery expected during the landing, i suggest give birth to a child in canada because if the child is born in india then you will have to get passport for PR for the new baby too.
