I just sent my application for PR to Sydney NS, it should arrive on Nov 18, 2016 as per Canadapost. I will share my timeline as it continues to update.

Has anyone heard of new changes to CRS points on Nov 19th? So, if we already sent an applcation to federal with CSQ and due to new changes if we also get ITA from express entry, do we need to apply federal again?

I would not refer to it as again simply because the applications are different. However yes you need to to submit a different one.

Yes. As I am flying in January to India so I asked them that it is urgent that I need to know the status.

Yes of course. Even collect the same papers and a bit more.

I called cic again this week and they asked me to wait, there is nothing we can do.Applications are on hold without any reason.gcms notes are not helpful either.

I sent my application on Aug 8,2016 and still haven't received my file number
they have deducted the fee 2 weeks ago and still no news.
my post graduate work permit will expire in January 2017 and my current employer is not willing to go through the process for closed work permit
I talked to an immigration lawyer and he told me I can apply for a bridging open work permit if I have my file number
has anyone here had the same situation?
I checked CIC and I know in Quebec this is not possible

please let me know if anyone had the same situation
also, I want to know when I am going to get my file number

I called cic again this week and they asked me to wait, there is nothing we can do.Applications are on hold without any reason.gcms notes are not helpful either.

I just hope that they will send out PPR before the holiday seasons!

my application for PR was received in aug 4th 16 and i havent received AOR yet, but according to the timeframe for AOR in these days we should hear from them arround first or second week of dec...

As per the latest trends, people are receiving the file number within 4 to 4.5 months. My friend got it after 4 months 10 days , he sent it june 28 2016

Still no decision made or other update since medical received in late July. We ordered GCMS notes and it said due date of November 12. Crossing our fingers for PPR soon!

Not sure, the GCMS notes just mention a "due date" which I'm guessing was the next time an officer would look at our file.
