Congratulations,

You are at the final stage now.

Congrats.

Can you please share your timelines ?

When did you apply online?
When did you receive document checklist?
When were your documents delivered to MIDI?
When did you receive CSQ?

Thanks!!

Hi crazyask

Infofrom the CIC website:

The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed. If the visa office asks you to complete a criminal record check, visit the RCMP website for instructions. You must bring:

A full electronic set of fingerprints on form C-216C taken by one of these accredited companies or police services
A complete application form (available on the RCMP website)
Reason for your request (eg. For immigration)
Your full name
Date of birth

Hi All,

I'm inland applicant recently filed my Federal application.

I applied as a Single, now if I'm married during the process of my application, what steps do i need to take?
Should I re-apply for CSQ or only for my wife?
Or Can i directly file the federal application including her in my file?

Please help advise.

I am at the same stage. Guys lets help each other in understanding and find the best route possible. Here is my take. After getting PR, I will get married and return to canada for a brief period and apply for spouse PR and I will go back to my country and return whenever required. Can I do this and what is the processing time for this and can i do this in first place, I mean, Can I leave outside canada after getting PR and sponsoring wife for PR. Will she be an inland applicant or outland applicant because I see there is difference in processing time. Guys please voice your opinions, specially the ones sailing in same boat. I can create a whats app group if necessary so that we can guide each other for the best possible solution. Btw I am looking for a potential match in Canada itself so that I dont have to go through sponsorship process, but never know whats in store in life

Guys, quick update: I've just received an email from CIC asking me to pay the RPRF. Strange thing is that I've received this same email back at the end of July, paid the fee and sent the receipt on the same day, as instructed on the email.
Has anyone experienced the same? The only think I can think about is that I had the subject of the email back in July as "Aplication: #######" instead of only "#######". And I still cannot login to CIC using the receipt number.
Thanks

Hi marcomcarneiro,

First and foremost, you should definitely contact them to ask about this, just in case.

I can however tell you that we've gone through a similar situation in our case, as we paid RPRF back in... May (I think?) when we received a generic reminder email telling us to pay RPRF and a bunch of other things "if we hadn't done so already". It turns out that email is just a generic email sent to everyone after their application has been processing for a while, and wasn't actually a request to do anything specific. A few months later, in July, we received another RPRF alongside the medical request, despite having already paid months before. We just sent back the exact same receipt from before to the email address supplied in the newer email. We're able to log into ecas with the receipt number though.

Your best bet would be to contact them via phone, and the representative will be able to provide you with an email address to send the receipt to if need be.

Good luck and let us know how it goes! :)

Hi Vinc360,
I've failed to mention, but I typed the post seconds after having talked to them :) Nothing on their end, they just told me to sit back and relax and wait for an update. Oh, and to keep the email automatic responses as proof that I've sent the receipts in time.

Thanks for sharing, your story relaxed me a little. Hopefully it's just a standard thing really.
Thank you!

I was wondering did you guys send your medical confirmation pdf to CIC through the ECAS ?

No we didn't send anything at all, Medical Received just appeared as a line in ecas, and the new application status page says it's passed. The clinic sent everything they needed to send, the confirmation is just for your own records.

I have four questions regarding the federal stage:

1. I am wondering if I would need a new police certificate when I left my country 3 years ago? I have a police certificate but it is for 2013... never went back since.

2. I have both national ID and birth certificate (national id is expired a year ago!), do I need to send them both?

3. Do we need the translation and certified copy of the original for the following docs for the federal stage:

- Birth Certificate
- National ID
- Police Clearance

4. Do we need a police Clearance from Canada?!

Thanks a lot!

Hi, congrats.

One question regarding the duration of police certificate back home.

It says you should provide the certificate since 18 years.

1. Does it mean, your police certificate mention the duration since 18 years age to whatever the end date?

Thanks
