Thanks shery84. I am not remembering our total points now but we did not get any points for french. We were over the requirement for couple though. I am very grateful that the interview was waived but we are going to restart our French class very soon.shery84 said:Many congrats to you dear can u share your total points and french level.
Raistlin, in response to your question, see what my lawyer wrote to me. "In the interest of submitting your application as quickly as possible, please apply for your police clearances without delay and provide me with copies of the receipts you receive (Proof of application). We will provide these, along with your other documents, and will indicate that your original clearance will follow once they are received."raistlin17phil said:Hello!
For those who are already in the federal stage of the QSW program, is it okay to submit the federal application without the police clearance first? It might take months for my police clearance to arrive, and I'm wondering if it is wiser to submit my application already now, or wait until I receive my police clearance then submit. Many Thanks to all who would reply.
Thanks, Geochaddy, that's a big help! I have decided to send them my application without the police clearance yet, but I did write them a letter stating that the police clearance for this particular country will follow, and that I already requested for it and it should be ready once Immigration asks for it. I didn't have a proof of application since that particular country doesn't issue such; they just send you the police clearance after processing.Geochaddy said:Raistlin, in response to your question, see what my lawyer wrote to me. OK great. I hope the federal goes very quickly for you.raistlin17phil said:Thanks, Geochaddy, that's a big help! congratulations my dear Stylove, seriously i don't know,i am like you, applied to Quebec as a single and got CSQ,some people told me that it was better toStylove said:Guys it has been long we chatted! Merry Xmas in Advance.
God gave me an Xmas gift of a baby girl 2 days back!
I applied as a single applicant, without any spouse.
Now what should I do? I don't want delays in my file. Should I add the baby, get married and add the mum? Or I should wait and sponsor them when I'm in Quebec? Please take your precious times to advice me on this!
Thank you.

Yeah Dr Tarekk you have a point there. It will be way easier for you as your future wife isn't pregnant yet! It would've been a dilemma like mine if she got a child when the process is still in line like mine!dr tarekk said:congratulations my dear Stylove, seriously i don't know,i am like you, applied to Quebec as a single and got CSQ,some people told me that it was better to
get married within process and after CSQ some friends advised me also to get married and add new spouse, but i was afraid to do that due to new
reevaluation of my file although almost people told me that will not be any problems about that but i was hesitant to lose my CSQ,i am in federal
process now and waiting my visa,so my plan will be applying as sponsor for my future spouse,so i am really would like to know about the processing
time for this whole issue!!,any suggestions will appreciated for me and my friend Stylove
you are right my dear Stylove, actually i don't know why they require all the time to inform them if our familial situation has been changed!! i mean whatStylove said:Yeah Dr Tarekk you have a point there. dear stylove, i read gp1 document earlier and in selection procedures it has mentioned that adding your spouse does not cause any delays it hardly takes 3 to 4 months more because of the points reassessment but you need to pass minimum passing mark for couple, you should have added your spouse earlier or atleast informed them about your marriage and now the issue is, you have had a baby, so in my personal opinion you should inform them about your spouse first and then after couple of months you can inform them about the baby, and if your points are well above the passing mark you can add them both in your application it should not cause too much delay its my personal opinion you can take suggesions from others before proceeding.Stylove said:Yeah Dr Tarekk you have a point there. The point here Shery is that I have never lived with her, and we are not married yet! She is still my wife to be. She is a newly graduated nurse so getting married and adding her will give me more points....but myself alone I have 58points without adaptability points. So I won't wanna add her. I just want to add the baby like a non-accompanying dependent. My query now is if they will have to recalculate my points with the non-accompanying baby added? And will they require that the mother sign any paper?shery84 said:dear stylove, i read gp1 document earlier and in selection procedures it has mentioned that adding your spouse does not cause any delays it hardly takes 3 to 4 months more because of the points reassessment but you need to pass minimum passing mark for couple, you should have added your spouse earlier or atleast informed them about your marriage and now the issue is, you have had a baby, so in my personal opinion you should inform them about your spouse first and then after couple of months you can inform them about the baby, and if your points are well above the passing mark you can add them both in your application it should not cause too much delay its my personal opinion you can take suggesions from others before proceeding.
best of luck
As far as I know if you do not accompany the baby you will have to justify reason otherwise in future you wont be able to sponser him and regarding points I think its not gonna affect your points as you will still be leaving as single applicant.Stylove said:The point here Shery is that I have never lived with her, and we are not married yet!
