I'll recommend you to go for General Training.

But IELTS Academic is also being accepted, I sent the Academic module and they never returned it to me. I know dozens of guys who went through with the academic module and are already in Quebec. I just believe they are not too strict on English results becuz it's English and it's Quebec.......They won't be this elastic on French exams!!!!

General Training is what they ask though, so follow it.

I actually am not sure yet about CIS. Sir Vic had been honest enough to admit that they haven't processed applications for QSWP. By the way, how many points do you have for your education? I believe that for those who have a bachelors degree, its supposed to be10 points; however,CIS gives 8 points only. May I know the name of your agency? Hope you dont mind.

i am married & i have one child 2 years.. At the application time Our point 58.. Me And my spouse DelF A1 Pass But our marks is listening & speaking less then 16 marks.. & earn 0 point in new point system criteria... then after me(Frist Applicant) pass DELF A2 And TEFAQ..(In A2 Listing 14 marks & Speaking 11 marks )

If your application is evaluated under old rules you have 7 points. Under new rules there's no points granted for scores less than B2.

I think it is best if you use some kind of points calculator to calculate your points, like the one the Cohen has. It's very easy to use. Nobody knows your profile, so basically only you can assess yourself and check if they are correct. Also, have you tried Quebec's preliminary evaluation tool? That is the first one you have to accomplish, to see if you qualify or not. But seeing that you're a nurse, you will qualify, most probably.

I believe there is a form you have to fill out if you are going to pay via credit card (I paid mine via bank draft, so I really didn't take note of the details of the form). It is said in the website that it will take 4-6 months for us to get the AOR, so expect them to charge your credit card within 6 months.

Furthermore, learn French. My agency had advised me to enroll in French at Alliance Francaise, and request for a Certificate of Enrollment. That certificate I submitted together with my application, and then as I passed the exams later on, I updated my application by sending them results. hope this helps

I am completing my application form for CSQ. However, I am confusing the code of my area of training. I got PhD in Electrical Engineering from a University in Quebec in 2012. My research focus on Material Sciences. Following the "2013 code list of areas of training" for electrical engineering, I found the code "U058: Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering (Bach. - 4 years)". However, this code is for Bachelor with 4years of study. I do not see any code for PhD in Electrical Engineering. Could anyone help to tell me the code of area of study for my case?

Another question, How much point I can get with my PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, granted from University in Quebec?

The points for all areas of training are awarded based on BS. Advanced degrees in any AOT give the same points as BS. For level of education criteria advanced degrees like MS/PhD give 12 points regardless of the field. If for example your AOT grants 12 points for Electrical Engineering then you'll have overall of 24 ( 12 for AOT and 12 for educational level).
