Stylove's prediction has come true. He said u were going to get ur CSQ before Septmber and voila. Congrats Iev, I am truly happy for you. You go ahead and taste the milk and honey so when we come in you will guide us from experience;)

Thanks a lot guys! I'm sure Stylove can gamble pretty well with such a flare for predictions :D I don't think I'll have easy time at the beginning as I'm not a french speaker, but I'll try to learn as much as possible while federal application is in progress.

Congratulations Ievgen! This is really good news. Did you submit French results with your application? When you received your AOR were told that you were in priority processing?

Thanks Geochaddy. I submitted B1 scores with my application. It wasn't specified that I'm under priority when I received AOR. I assumed it based on the points awarded for AOT, but I think that all AORs look the same regardless of the profession and priority isn't mentioned there.

Wow! Félicitations!!!!!!!! That's a big step already! That was quite fast!
Congratulations!!!!
Good luck in the Federal processing!!!!

Thanks Ievgen, you give me hope. I am working on the application for the professional orders as well as the French. Hopefully I will be able to update my file soon with information on both. I am also keeping my fingers crossed that I will be processed under the old rules because I did not claim any points for French.

Nice to hear we have one success story! Congratulations to you! How many points did you get for the assessment?

Thanks.

I hope to get an email or update from MICC. :)

Hi Ievgen,

Congo bro...so you got email from them?
ALso can you explain in details your point structure..like age, edu, child, english....

Did you submit your approval letter from Ordre des chimistes du Québec? if yes, when did you submit that letter?

Hi, everyone!
Here is my timeline:

Canadian diploma (which is considered equivalent to Quebec diploma), 12 points AOT (Bachelor of Computer science), 23 months of work experience, 7 months of work experience in Quebec, TEFAQ A2/A2, IELTS 7.5 (oral comprehension intermediate 7.5, oral expression advanced 8 ). If Quebec has accepted everything I hope for then I should have 59 points before the interview (hopefully, no interview ;-) )

18.02.2013 – documents delivered to Montreal
09.05.2013 – credit card charged
16.06.2013 – accuse de reception with reference and file number via regular mail (nothing on email)

But here is the problem:
I've received my Accusé de réception on May 9th, 2013. I've called MICC two days ago and asked about my file. The woman on the phone said my file is just opened on May 9th, but the preliminary examination has not yet started, and she said that file will be processed under the new rules of August 1, 2013.

This is very sad, because my French was only A2 and now I'm not getting any points for it...

Call them again and see if you get the same response, they seem to be quite inconsistent with their responses.
