Does anybody know about the point system very well ?
As per the web site we can gain upto 28 points in education

i've done 4 year full time undergraduate diploma (outside canada)

now m persuing quebec vocational diploma (900hrs).

AOT of quebec vocational diploma gives me 16 points


so how many points i will get in education ?

Hi,

My wife and I have submitted CSQ applications and docs to MICC office on 29th July'13. My English Language score is 5 (Speaking : 8.0,Listening : 7.5) and total score is 56 points (out of 57) without french language.

We are awaiting for DELF A1 result which will be announce on 10th Aug. I have sent an official letter, which I received from course Director ( Alliance francaise de Bangalore), along with the docs.

Will they accept or hold our file? How long will it take to get AOR from them?

BROTHER THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT IT! I DID IT 2 TIMES AND THEY REFUSED! ONLY ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED EVEN THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT THE PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATE.

I need your valuable and expert advice. Please go through the point grid carefully and then answer my question at the bottom, if possible.

1. Education: Nursing 3 years= 10 Points
2. Area of Training= 16 Points
3. Age= 16 Points
4. Experience= 6 Points
5. Ielts= 5 Points
6. Spouse education= 3 Points
7. Spouse age= 2 Points
8. Children(Under 12 Years)-= 4 Points
9. Financial sufficiency= 1 Point


Total Points accumulated 63 without any French level. Is it necessary to have French level even if I score Passing marks 63 because with new rules A1, A2, B1 level will not give any points. Only Level B2 will fetch points for French language. I already have passing score of 63.

Do you guys see any chances of being selected for CSQ under the following criteria????????

With 63 points, they cannot do much, even without french points, than to give you waiver.

I've applied in Feb'13 and received AOR in Mar'13. My points were 53 (single applicant) with DELF A2 as my level of french competency.
So, does the new rule mean that I've now only 47 points?? Since they are not awarding any points unless it's B2 level. I guess, I'm busted!
To all the experts (including the initiator of this thread), please suggest what to do now?? Shall I even stop expecting from QSW???

If you have received AOR according to old rules, then your file cannot be cancelled. You will only have the task to do more french, and submit a B2 level as required per the new rules, to revive your application, else it might be left to lie in the shelves.....but one thing you should be sure of is that you cannot be rejected. You will only be prompted to update your file with results of better French.....

I think you will have 10+16 points = 16. not 10+6+16.

My modest opinion only.
